Hello, well my next period is due on the 6th March, so will do a test probs on the 1st March. (it just cant come quick enough lol) Fingers crossed peeps. I've had mild cramping on and off since yesterday. So not sure if it's implantation cramping, but no spotting yet. Is it too early for implantation???

hi abc i am also ttc 1st baby :) i am 12dpo today, af due on weds but feeling cramps as though period coming or it could be implantation. poas tonight and bfn which has put me in a grumpy mood! its a super sensitive test so if its not showing now then i don't think it will. its only my first cycle but I'm so impatient i want everything to happen now, or yesterday would be better lol i really thought it would work first time, i guess there is still time.. i will be watching one born every minute tonight which I'm sure won't help with my mood! lol

I hate waiting, people keep telling me not to think about it, it will happen. Well i got pregnant very early Jan and then had a chemical pregnancy and now i'm hoping March is the month for me. Well fingers crossed for you too :) How long have you been trying for? I also keep getting these sharp pains in my boobs. Have you had any other symptoms? I love one born every minute. I even watch call the midwife lol. I only came off the pill end of nov and been trying since early Dec.

i love call the midwife too! lol anything to do with babies! this is only my first cycle but it feels like forever! i was hoping to get inpregnated this cycle as next cycle would mean a very close to xmas baby which i don't think is far on them and i thought that we might take a couple of months break and then try again april/may time but i don't think i can stop myself from wanting to try again if this cycle doesn't work! i had feeling sick various times since did deed, also had cramping from about 4po to 9dpo isn like period cramps i used a hot water bottle to get through it and now i am 12dpo and feel like have period style discomfort down there but no red as yet!

Hi, can I join you ladies please? First cycle TTC, driving myself nuts, glad there are people in the same boat :-)

It's not easy! I have just started 3rd cycle :( they always make out you will get pregnant so easily!!
Think I'm going to try SMEP this cycle! See if that does the trick although hubby and I have a very active sex life anyway! Could mean an Xmas baby but I just want to be a mummy!!

I'm beginning to realise the truth of that Mrs B - it always seemed like such an easy thing to do, get pregnant, before you actually start! You drive yourself crazy just reading what other people go though, hoping to see them get a bfp so you know it's possible.

Just got to keep fx and hope we all get what we want! x

Report
NewlymrsB · 25/02/2014 13:38

I was completely naive to it! The thing is the longer it goes without seeing that bfp the more I stress about it! I wanted to be one of those women who are like "we aren't preventing so when it happens it happens" it's just sooooo hard not to let it take over!!!

Report
RPopz · 25/02/2014 13:46

Exactly same here newlymrsb!! We were "not not trying" for about a month... I just couldn't hack the casual approach!! So now we're properly trying hehe.

Isn't it funny how you spend so much time trying NOT to get pregnant....

Yep I was on the pill for 10 years and panicked a couple of times when I missed one... I laugh when I look back now!! I know it is perfectly normal for it to take a little while, especially after being on bc! 30-34 days is a long time to wait just to be disappointed again!! Really need to find some distractions for this cycle...

Hi,
I joined yesterday ttc first child, & was a bit disappointed to find my period started a week early (Sunday) :(
Ironic isn't it spent years trying to avoid pregnancy, it's a relief not to have to worry about contraception though :)

Id like 2 join please. I had 18 months casually ttc after being on depo for 7 years. Had a 9 month break and was on pill until 24 jan stopped mid pack. Wd bleed 29th so not really sure when totm due! Have been bloated past 10 days and cramps so expecting period to arrive but have read cramps can be a symptom of pregnancy but I havent had any others. Have also gained 4 lbs in past three weeks. Cud I b pg?

NewlymrsB · 26/02/2014 08:37

I think the trouble is that af and pg symptoms are the same! I'm really really going to try to forgot about it all in the 2ww this cycle!

Im going to join in too :)

I came off the pill at start of February 2013 so we've been doing this for a while now, ttc our first. I first bought opks last summer, and then stopped as didn't want to drive myself insane plus my sister is getting married this summer and did not want to be due around time of her wedding so we didn't really try oct/nov time. But I was devastated at christmas when af arrived on Christmas Eve. No luck in January again so I bought opks again. Confident I pinned my ovulation down in Feb, as had pain that took my breath away on day opks said I was ovulating. Had similar pain in January when I worked out I was probably ovulating. We dtd/bd in both Jan and Feb on days before, during and after ovulating. This was also the case last summer.

Anyway, AF is due on 3rd March. I don't feel in any way pregnant. I have sore boobs, but that always happens a number of days before AF anyway. Really hoping I am, am finding it hard to deal with the monthly bfns.

Cannot believe I spent so many years trying not to pregnant! Wish i'd come off the pill as soon as dh and I married, feel like a numpty now as just assumed it would happen. Promising myself a wee fur baby later this year to keep me sane!

Good luck to all!

Coming to join. Also TTC#1. Had implant removed in March last year and haven't really used protection since. We've had a couple of months of not being able to dtd around when I think i'm ovulating due to DH's shifts.

We were initially trying to just go with the flow, however from last month I've started using OPK's. DTD around ovulation this month, but no luck. Trying to do SMEP this month, so have been using OPK's for the last few days and will be DTD every other day until we get a smiley. Really hoping this works. It's just taking so long now!!

Know what you mean Martie1....I used to panic if I missed my pill one day and I deliberately kept my implant - even though I hated it - until just before my wedding so that I didn't risk not fitting into my dress. Wish I'd just blooming come off it ages before!

Good luck to you all :-) x

Hi,

is anyone else using OPKs?? This morning I got a faint test line and while I know it needs to be as strong as the control line to be positive, just wanted to know if the faint line means ovulation is starting?!

Thanks!

Sammyj85- I'm not sure. I've only ever used the clearblue smiley face ones. Although I'm beginning to find the smiling face patronising so I may have to resort to alternative brands. (Yes I'm taking my lack of bfp out on an inanimate object!)

Bobo- what is smep? I've seen others mention it here but don't know what it is.

I'm totally emotional this evening and have a real pinch in my left lower abdomen. My head keeps telling me I'm not preggo, my heart keeps hoping I am. Totally depressing!

Bobo13 · 26/02/2014 23:33

Martie it's the Sperm Meets Egg Plan. If you google it you can get info. Basically you have sex every other day from CD 8 roughly and start doing OPK's then. When you get your positive you have sex 3 days in a row, stop for one and have sex again. Lots of people have said it worked, some have said it didn't, I figure I might as well try Smile
Know what you mean re. Head and heart. Every month I tell myself I'm not preggo, but still find myself looking at prams and nursery furniture online. Not good for the stress levels!! X

Hello everybody :) How is everyone?? Well my period will be due next Thursday, but I've got a few signs that I could be pregnant. But took a test this morning and BFN :( I've been feeling very tired lately, nausea, headaches, very bad cramps (but could be a sign of AF) but i dont normally get cramps this bad, but they on and off. I've had no spotting. Gone off coffee the last week, i normally love coffee but its' making me feel sick. I hate the waiting game lol. I'm so impatient at the moment. I work with children so it can be hard and all my friends are getting pregnant. We have been trying for 3 months now. TTC for our first child.

Emily - Any news yet?
