Anyone else going to be trying for a baby in April?

My husband is away for 3 weeks in March and when he gets back we plan to catch as soon as possible. We already have 2 babies and have never had issues conceiving in the past.

I have a coil at the moment which I will have taken out while he is away.

Getting excited about it now! Our third and final baby.

I work as a home carer on zero contract hours so I am going to have to hide the pregnancy until the 25th week. My work uniform is quite baggy and I will just make sure I wear a jumper when I go in and see them in the office.

I am hoping they won't outright ask me anyway, just praying I can keep it a secret!

Would love to connect with other mums in a similar boat!

Three is a good number I think and all I am allowed!

I am excited but nervous about having to hide it all from work.

Not working stay at home mum to my beautiful two. How old are yours, mine are 6 this year and youngest is three this year. Yes I agree three is a good number

I think it's a good idea to hide it from work because when I was working I was treated completely different once they found out I was pregnant

Mine are 3 and 18months, two years and a month between them!

There will be more like 2 years and 4 months between the youngest and the second youngest.

I've definitely got to hide it from work, they could really screw me over if they found out I was pregnant.

They screwed me over when I was pregnant with my first put me down to a 0 hour contract so they didn't have to pay for maternity leave and didn't give me work were as before I told them had plenty

Yes that's what I am worrying about too. I actually started a thread on here about it all but seem to be getting mis-information about my rights as a zero-contract worker.

At the end of the day I have to protect our interests and so I will be hiding my pregnancy for the first 25 weeks.

Yes good for you. Just make sure you don't carry heavy loads or anything and look after yourself. Good luck can't wait for December come on roll on

I already have to lug young children around so I doubt I will be doing anything more strenuous than that in my job.

I just hope my uniform still fits! Mind you I dont have to wear it when I go into the office so should just be able to hide it with a baggy jumper around the boss.

Don't worry will only start showing after 20 weeks so u should be fine

Report
MrsBryan · 20/02/2014 19:08

Yes and then I just have to keep quiet for a further 4 weeks which shouldn't be too hard. I might even take a weeks holiday around then!

Hi wanted to join to say we r also ttc #3 have started this month. I have 2 ds and thought that was our family complete until we had an unplanned pregnancy in sept which unfortunately ended In a Chemical pregnancy. Since then I am desperate for #3. I had no problems conceiving previously but because of sept experience I am now worrying about everything. Good luck to all. Hope you all have a quick easy journey xxx

I lost my second child at 25 weeks, it was atrocious so we hid my third pregnancy until about 24 weeks.

That's how I know that nobody will really notice.

That is awful. So sorry for your loss. I was so early on so am very thankful for that. My problem had been that because it was unplanned the first day myself and dh were in shock. We then got used to the idea and very excited About it but within a week I lost the pregnancy. It's just a lot of emotions and made me desperate for #3. But going through what you went through MrsBryan is just indescribable I cant imagine xx lots of luck to you this time for a healthy happy baby xxx

Hi can I join you? Hoping to start ttc in May time as I need to lose some weight first. I already have a boy who is 15 months old.

People keep saying I need to have another so I get a little girl but I'm really not bothered what it is. A boy would be preferable actually as we only have two bedrooms and both children will have to share a room. Plus I've saved all my son's baby clothes so we wouldn't have to buy much. A health baby is the most important thing though.

I'm sorry to hear the sad stories hope we all have healthy babies but I've still got a while to wait but it will come

I had the same, really scared about the pregnancy, worried for the existing child and so on

Then when we found out she'd died it was so heartbreaking and I had to be pregnant again immediately.

Nothing makes you love a rainbow baby more than your past experience.

Well lots of spring mummies on here! Hope we can all get to know each other and move into the pregnancy groups together.

Hello, we are planning to start ttc no 2 (and final!) DC in April. it took 11 months with dd but I think that was due to thyroid issue which is now fixed with medication so hopefully will be quick next time!

I have 3 RL friends all ttc or thinking of ttc, hoping they get pg about the same time as me it would be lovely to have maternity leave together.

So sorry to hear of your loss mrsBryan, how incredibly sad.

Hi minipie! It took me 11 months to conceive DS. I blame the depo. I haven't used any contraception since he was born because I don't want it to take so long next time. Fingers crossed.

Hi all. Can I join if i am still at the umming and ahhhing stage? April would be the absolute earliest we will ttc. Dd is one in April, ideally we would like a 2 year gap, but it make take a while so startin ttc around April/ may may be the way forward? As opposed to waiting until say, oct - and then we take months or years to concieve.
