Just tested and got a BFN. I'm not even actively TTC, and it would be a less than ideal time for us right now but I feel unbelievably shit and sad/lonely/empty. Cant seem to get started today. How do you cope with the disappointment of a BFN? Its torture- emotions are all over the place but mostly just feeling depressed

I'm sorry you feel so sad. Maybe you really do want to have a baby. Try and take a positive from it and now actively try? I'm sure you will feel less empty in the coming days and work out your dtd strategy!
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Thankyou so much for replying to me! Sad but the lack of response made me feel so much worse so thank you. I'm feeling better than I did, got some space and perspective :)

I know how you feel, we're supposed to be 'trying' but due to circumstances don't have much opportunities - still really hoped it might have worked this month :( it's also upsetting to feel 'stupid' this it hasn't happened tho isn't it?

Yes truffle, you feel a Fool for even trying! It will happen when it's our time though I believe x

I'm sorry you feel sad.

The way I'm coping (and will cope) will be to not test until after AF is due.

I hope it's your time soon Lolly and truffle x

Thanks Hazel. It already was after AF was due tbh! I'm still not on, my last AF was on Jan 1st however my cycle seems to be a little off of late and not that regular, so I am hardly surprised i got a bfn.

Hi Lolly. Hope you are feeling bit better. Maybe if you are having long cycles, you should take a trip to the doctor? Nothing to worry about, but many people wait until they are actively trying and then long cycles can get stressful.
Good luck.

Hiya, thanks well I have been to gp recently for blood tests, I'm a raw food vegan so just want to make sure I'm healthy. They took 7 vials and probably testing hormone levels if that's what you mean? I can get quite stressed which can make me skip a period, e.g I skipped Christmas x
