Wasn't sure whether to post here on in weight loss but I thought here was more appropriate.

I'm a big girl and have decided to follow the slimming world plan at home. I joined last year and lost over 2 stone (hardly a dent in what I've got to lose....) Confused

Not rejoining this time as u still have everything I need.

Anyone wanna join me? Could do with the company,

I will join you as I need to start somewhere too. I am currently on clomid as I am not ovulating and have put on half a stone in the last two months and feel horrendous, not being able to conceive naturally is just so awful and the stress has caused me to binge eat :(

Glad slimming world has worked for you, I think I am just going to try calorie counting/trying to stop overeating!

Hi j200 :)

Calorie counting never worked for me, I would always be starving so never stuck it out for long.
No chance of being starving on slimming world lol!

We only decided to ttc this week but I've needed to lose weight for a long time!! I have about half my body weight to lose I reckon, though I haven't weighed myself yet! ConfusedConfused

I'm trying to do this! I am about 40lbs down, want to lose another 20. I am calorie counting - eating about 1500 a day and walking for 30 minutes. Been losing about a lb a week.

Hi akachan!

Well done on your weight loss so far! Grin

I am ridiculously overweight - I estimate that I'm about 19 stone!! I am sticking to this sw plan rigidly though so shouldn't take much more than a year to get right down to a better weight. I'm not expecting to conceive in the next 12 months anyhow as my cycle is quite absent due to depo provera. Should probably see my nurse about it actually.

Hi everyone :)
I am also trying to lose weight. Lost 6lb so far and hoping to lose a few more before getting pg so that I'm under the obese category.

Hi Cherry, thanks!

I was about 15 and a half stone at my heaviest and I am 5' ish so very obese. I am still fat but now within 10lbs or so of just overweight not obese and I'm in a size 14/16 now so can shop at normal shops. It's very worth it!

Treaclepie19 · 16/01/2014 18:56

Hi toots and welcome to the thread. :)

I'm sure you can do it! Very good decision to get on track with it now and nipping it in the bud. I wish if have done that - wouldn't be a size 24 now lol. I got bigger after each of my 3 children!! So I blame them Grin

Thanks cherry. Yeah thats the plan! Im only 5ft so putting on weight is very noticeable and seems to make me look fat quickly
Dh is diet daft which is good. If i married someone that didnt care about what they ate i would probably be huge!!

That's great that you've got the right sort of support with your DH :)

My DH is overweight too, so we're doing this together. He is helping me with exercise and I'm helping him with food and meal planning. Teamwork Grin

Well. I think I've done ok today.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs and a granary salad roll.

Lunch was bacon (no fat) and baked beans.

Snacks were - 20 tiny milkybar choc chips and also an alpen light.

So that only 8 syns. (The choc chips were probably waaaaay under 5 syns but hey - if I count it as more it's all good). Alpen light was 3 syns.

Dinner will be a jacket potato with lots of ham, onion, tomato and cucumber. Possibly sliced egg.

Feeling great! Smile

Hi everyone! I too am trying to lose weight whilst ttc, I think my weight might be the issue with not conceiving, I thought I could get away with it as I was heavier than I am now when I had my daughter, but I have been trying for 7 months so far with no luck. I am 5'4 and 13 stone so could do with losing about 3 stone. I just love my food too much and turn to it as a comfort when I'm feeling down or stressed..so when ttc!!
Well done with your diet so far cherrypie!!
Starlight that is encouraging news, and congratulations!

Hi Lucy :)

My food diary for today;

Breakfast:-
4 small rashers rindless bacon, 2 poached eggs and half a time of baked beans. syn free

Lunch:-
Big bowl of spicy basmati rice (just rice, hot curry powder, turmeric and chicken stock) syn free

Dinner:-
Still thinking...

Snacks:-
Chic fudge Alpen light bar - Healthy Extra B Choice

Super proud. Really feeling it this time around. I found an old notebook with a gazillion hand written slimming world recipes. All free or low syn value. Having a good old look through now for some meal planning inspiration.

xx
