Looking for company! I'm 1dpo now (I think) and already feeling nauseous.

We're TTC#2, DD1 is 10 months, still bf so some luteal phase issues .

We hit all the right days with dtd I think so fingers crossed.

Anyone else?

Hi wildwaterfalls ill be your company! Im testing on the 27th could possibly do it earlier as my cycle varies by a few days every month but have decided im going to try hard to wait until then.
Have been ttc #1 this is our 7th cycle and have been on a real downer that its not happened already but feel different this month. Think it may be because we were on holiday and im still really relaxed, we diddnt pay much attention really just dtd A LOT! (fairly sure we hit the right days) Its strange because im feeling really different im normally a bit of a stress head but (and maybe its just because of the hol mood) lately im just not stressing the small stuff, long may it last! Im also v emotional i cried twice yesterday (for no real reason) and im not usually the crying type, so theres def something going on with my hormones!(either that or ive finally lost my mind!) Anyways keeping my fingers x for both of us ;)

I'll probably test around then as due BFP on 28th.

TTC#1 since dec '12. I used opk's for the first time this month and it seems I ovulate when I thought - don't know if I feel like this is good or bad really?

Fingers crossed for you!

Ooh great, hello both!

Pxmx that does sound very promising indeed. Both the relaxing / dtd on holiday and now the 'feeling different'. I have honestly convinced myself I am already feeling a bit nauseous but it is not really possible yet is it! Besides it is probably the heat.

Fox interesting re OPKs. I find them quite useful to know exactly what is going on. On balance I think it's probably a good thing that you are ovulating as expected, although I know what you mean.

Anyone else bought their tests yet? I have some Superdrug own brand in a drawer somewhere as I think those are meant to be quite sensitive, and also got one of those expensive digital ones but saving it for if I am actually late!

I am due on 27th. second cycle of ttc DC2 but I don't hold out my chances - I went out on ovulation day and got really drunk :( Don't know why I couldn't control myself, it was a birthday party and I just thought sod it. But I bet its affected my chances. Other than that we dtd 3 times in the 4 days before ovulation so we did do something right. I had a chemical pregnancy last month so feeling a bit desperate for a bfp this month but am cross with myself for potentially ruining my chances. Plus I had a bit row with DP this am and I think stress probably affects your chances!

Good luck everyone!

I'm due on 22nd or 23rd. We didn't do it as much this month as we have been but did manage a few in the days prior to my opk smiley so it's still possible. Ttc #2 cycle 8!

I'm actually not as anxious this month so maybe that will turn into good news. It's hard to stay obsessive for months on end! Good luck!

I have superdrug ones too wild as I didn't end up needing them last month! Will buy a digital when I get my BFP Smile

Hi ladies, I'm testing on 22nd or 23rd - haven't decided yet!
This is our first month ttc so I know we'll be extremely lucky to get a positive.
I haven't really had many symptoms. I had bleeding gums one morning and I've had a bit of nausea but that could be anything.
Fingers crossed everyone!

sleepcrisis · 15/07/2013 20:48

cupcake - I had bleeding gums in the first week of my pregnancies (if you can call a chemical pregnancy a pregnancy! First was successful though and plenty of bleeding gums then)

Hello everyone!

Sounds promising cupcake with the bleeding gums. Fingers crossed! Are you ttc#1?

Sleepcrisis I'm sure it's not the end of the world to have had a few drinks around ov time..Don't think that would really decrease your chances!

Hoping for lots of bfps on this thread!

It's going to be a lucky thread I can feel it Smile

After a bit of advice... I tried opk's for the first time this month and got positive opk's on both Saturday and yesterday. Does that mean I would've ovulated by now or should I keep dtd?? When am I likely to have ovulated? Could it have been yesterday or as I had a positive opk yesterday would it have been today? Thanks!

Oh, pleased to hear bleeding gums sounds positive! Forgot to say I had a really bad headache a couple of days ago too - doesn't sound like anything but I NEVER get had aches :)

Sorry I can't help with the ov kits. I'm ttc baby number one so I'm new to all of this!

Sleepcrisis, I forgot to say that ok sure I read somewhere that the alcohol only passes to the foetus once the placenta has formed (don't hold me to that!) so I'm sure you'll be fine xx

Hi Fox. I've always interpreted my OPKs as being positive just pre ov, although it is not an exact science I think.

My latest OPKs have smileys - flashing ones in the lead-up to ov and then a steady smiley for the day before/of ov.

Sorry that didn't quite answer your question. I guess ov might have happened today then, and definitely would keep going with dtd for a day or so as fertility continues 1 day post ov as well if I recollect correctly.

If only it wasn't so hot... Finding TTC quite tough in this weather!

Thanks wild - will try to dtd another 1 or 2 times then if we can. But we feel the same... it's just too hot!

I'm ttc number 1 too cupcake! This is my first month trying opk's as been ttc for 8 months so just wanted to check really (although they still can't tell you if you actually ovulated so don't know why I bother really!) Smile

I've heard the same about the placenta too sleep and that apparently it's not until you're 5 wks that its really important

Hi!

I will be testing 24/25, period due 25th.

I am so scared though. I had a mmc in April, I miscarried at home a few weeks later and it was the worst experience of my life. I am terrified of it happening again (I have an 11 year old ds).

I fell pregnant in feb first month off the pill. I had a lot of stress in my life at the time and was very busy too. I have done my best to try and eliminate stress. I have had two normal periods, bang on time since the last mc, had a full MOT from the dr so all is well.

I want to be pregnant again so badly, but am terrified of mc again.

So far I have had sore breasts for a few days post ovulation, I never get this, I only had this with the pregnancy I lost (ds was born so long ago I can't remember any early symptons!). I am hopeful, but like I said, scared.
8/9 days to go.....

Report
Wildwaterfalls · 16/07/2013 10:19

Oh poopy so sorry to hear about your mc. I completely understand you are feeling scared. But such good news that your periods are back to normal and the dr has said everything is fine.

We had two mmc before DD arrived, and I find myself really managing my own expectations now regarding a BFP.

Good luck

Thank you, Wild.

I know it will be hard for dh too. He has already said that when the baby is here he will love it and be the best dad he can be (he's my ds step dad) but that he won't get excited about another pregnancy again as losing the last one was horrible.

That has upset me too, as I know where he is coming from, but I had horrific PND after ds was born, so I will have to bond with a baby while I am pregnant or I worry i will get PND again. BUT, I wouldn't want to get to excited incase the worst happens again, my mc floored me.

I keep changing from hour to hour hoping I will be pregnant/hoping I'm not. I feel crazy! Doesn't help that the past few days I have been bursting into tears over nothing lol.

Oh no, my post disappeared! Sorry to hear your problems Poopy, it sounds like a confusing situation to be in. Do you think your DH will begin to feel excited once he can see your bump growing?

Vikki - let's hope you get an extra special birthday present!

Report
sleepcrisis · 16/07/2013 20:41

I'm finding this wait harder than last month. Poopy that situation sounds really tough. I also had PND really badly after DS and since my chemical pregnancy/early m/c last month I can feel its ugly head rearing again. I think we just have to accept that a m/c is devastating (esp. a mmc) and would traumatise most women, and feeling so low now doesn't mean you will suffer PND again. I know lots of women who had PND and went on to have other kids with no depression at all.

Re the alcohol, I wasn't so much thinking of it getting to the hypothetical baby, more that if my body was drunk and sluggish it might affect the motility/health/fertility of all the important functions and eggs and swimmers, for want of a better explanation!

I'm really hoping though. No symptoms yet but only 4dpo and I had no symptoms at this stage with the last two, apart from extreme exhaustion. Actually now I'm worried that I'm not utterly shattered and that must mean I'm not pregnant. argh!

Report
Wildwaterfalls · 16/07/2013 21:38

That sounds really hard for you both poopy. I hope you can support each other through the early stages of pregnancy particularly.

Sleepcrisis I wouldn't worry at all - I have never heard of a night out having a negative impact on fertility!

No symptoms here today... In fact almost thought I felt ov type pain?!! Good thing we dtd last night just to be on the safe side. No idea what's going on with my cycle Hmm

Thanks. I don't know what will happen if/when I get pregnant again. Dh is good at totally switching off emotions so I know I will have to cope alone, but that's a whole other issue.

We go on holiday for ten days on the 27th, af is due 25th. When we decided to try this month, dh was hesitant as he didn't want his holiday ruined by testing or finding out i'm pregnant, so I will test on my own and if its a positive ill keep it to myself and pretend to test for the first time when we get home. It's sad but that's just the way things are. I don't have and friends or family either so no one else to tell or talk to either way.

I've still got slightly sore breasts and have bloody nose since yesterday - not constantly bleeding but always there if I wipe, obviously I've been googling and a bloody nose can be a sign been feeling slightly crampy too.

Me! Ttc dc2, dc1 is 14 months. Second month of trying and due on the 25th but not holding out too much hope as dc1 took us a good while (and a fortune in opks, obsessive app use etc etc). Determined not to get obsessed this time....
