Hi everyone! I'm new so bear with me!!
I was due for AF on Thursday last week. I was late but started spotting on Sunday. I took a pregnancy test on Monday (see pic link below) and I think it's faintly positive-this showed up after 30 secs! I have since taken a first response (in the afternoon) and a digital clear blue which were both negative. I'm still spotting and AF hasn't materialised. I have had symptoms like sore boobs and feeling queasy and a few other things. I just don't know what to think to be honest!!!! The spotting started 17 dpo, but wouldn't a pregnancy test be firmly positive by now?

Any info and replies very welcome!!!

Thank You in advance!! :-)

If you had a faint line followed by a negative test it sounds like you have had a chemical pregnancy - that is an egg that fertilises but fails to develop/implant properly.

I had one back in February, it's not a nice experience.

Wait a few more days and test again.

Sorry to hear that Katie - but at least it wasn't a full-on mc later on. Best of luck next month x

at 17dpo you should have had a definite positive. I looked at the picture and that test is negative in my opinion. If you felt sick and a late period you may have had a tummy bug that just knocked you off. Nausea from pregnancy usually wont start before week 7 gestation. Best of luck for september xo

It wasn't typical morning sickness-I had that with my little boy from 12 weeks. It was more the odd day feeling a bit sick/dizzy. I didn't have a positive with my son until 6 days after my missed period and even then, it started with a very faint line like the one in the picture. That's why I was pretty sure I was pregnant with that test, but when I got the negative with others afterwards, it made me very confused!!! It's hard to get a negative after initially thinking you are and all the excitement!!! Oh well, roll on September lol!!! Xx
