I would also suggest you now seek medical advice. General consensus seems to be that if you're over 35, you should be referred after 6 months of ttc without success.
If your cycle is irregular in nature, this is often due to underlying hormonal problems. In this regard a condition called polycystic ovaries or PCOS are common culprits.
You need a diagnosis of the underlying problem first and foremost and both of you will need to be tested. Do not self medicate with herbal stuff because it can make things worse. If you do want to use this at all do seek the advice of a properly qualified medical herbalist beforehand.
As you are over 35 I would go to your GP about it since it's been more than 6 months. Although with a child already you wouldn't be eligible for interventions such as IVF, they should still do the usual fertility investigations such as day 3 and 21 tests, maybe more, and should also do a sperm analysis for your husband. But don't worry too much yet, it could happen for you any time, 9 months isn't so long yet, but I appreciate your worries. Might as well get the ball rolling though. If you've seen a line on the ovulation kits, that is a good start. Obviously DTD every 2-3 days throughout the cycle gives you the best chance regardless of when you ovulate, but i imagine that is easier when you are TTC your first!! Good luck xx
Have you tried using an ovulation kit/sticks of some kind or temping to make sure you're DTD at the right time? I have a reasonably short cycle, but I found when I used one that I ovulate a day or two later than I thought.
I drank this tea three times a day after we had been TTC-ing for 6 months. I got pregnant the month I drank the tea. I can't say whether it made a difference or if it had a placebo effect, but I would give it a go for when we TTC no2!
You need a metal tea ball (also sold on Amazon) as the tea is loose leaf.
Hi Everyone, I'm new here and have a question. I was on cerazette for a year after giving birth and came off it September 2012 since then every month has been filled with the disappointment of a negative pregnancy test. I did some research and starting taking Angus Castus which did nothing other than give me horrific mood swings (I did not have these until I started taking AC). Does anyone suggest any other herbs or vitamins? I'm 38 and don not have time obviously on my side as I wanted 2 children reasonably close together. Thank you in advance.
