Hi makes cakes when stressed , welcome to the new thread!

How long do you think you will be waiting? Is it your first?

Sounds like your baking skills will come in useful on here... I'm just serving up the fairy cakes and tea!

I have just come down with another cold, soi have bought some multivitamins and minerals today. I do hope It helps me avoid any more...

nah. I have a toddler. 16 months or thereabouts. I was so so not ready for number 2 because Mini Cakes was still very much my baby plus the whole 2 in nappies thing and MiniCakes still not sleeping reliably thing were putting me off.

But now loads of my friends are having number 2 and we had a teeny scare (I was 2 days late) and realised that both of us were actually kind of a little bit disappointed and suddenly ttc doesn't seem like such a far away concept.

No date has been set though.

Sorry for the life story

Can I join in?

I have a 7 month old ds. I have been on discussion with Dp as to when we want another. We are thinking of starting in July but we are not sure yet.

Hey, it's all about sharing our experiences on here!

I have 2 dd's, 18 months apart, so I'm with you on the 2 in nappies thing!

I have a new nephew, and their age gap is just over 2 years, and the older child is already potty trained! So I think that will be much better.

16months is such a cute age, though... Walking and chattering, but still so small and innocent!

Hi demented penguin! Welcome.

Aw, 7 months is so cute too... Enjoying playing with own feet and starting to crawl and move about!

It seems like such a long time ago.

I was warned firmly by colleague today not to get broody after I told her about my new nephew though.... She said not with such a big gap....

Just seen new thread, I'm still here! Actually feeling bit broody. Still not bothered about being pregnant but feel I should try.

Guess I'm trying from may. Going on holiday so good chance to have lots of sex. Tbh I find trying to get pregnant sex really unsexy!

Anyway I'm a bit disappointed. I went for a smear & been told they 'advise' I wait for the results before trying in case by some miracle I get knocked up immediately & then have to have some treatment. Seems unlikely but now I feel guilty having unprotected sex Sad what should I do? Leave it til I get back and put off my march baby for an April one?!

Hey everyone.

Okay so I'm 22 (23 in June) and as I said my ds is 7 (1/2) months old. Learning to crawl but still up couple times a night :)

So again as I said thinking of maybe ttc in July.

I had a smear in Oct, came back abnormal cells, biopsy in Dec and from that I've had irregular bleeding. I'm also on the pill so it might be that but I've been freaking out so I went to docs today and have to go back tomorrow for another smear, internal, swabs. So think ill hold off until all of that is over.

Hello my dear Leaf (and other wait-ers) I hope you don't mind me gate-crashing this thread but it briefly popped up in Active Convos and I just couldn't resist popping in...

I'm really delighted to see that winterpansy has got a BFP - If you are lurking out there winter - huge, huge congratulations!

Leaf - I hope all is going well for you and your girls and that your cold clears off pronto. Blasting it with multi-vits sounds a good plan.

I am now 17 weeks and due early October. Been a weird pregnancy so far; very, very sick and sort of disconnected from the whole thing. I can't really explain it but I feel a sort of fraud - like I'm not really pregnant even though I've got the scan pictures to prove it and have spent countless evenings with my head over the toilet.

I'm not sure whether it is some sort of self-protection thing going on after last year's loss. Feel a bit sad about it really as my pregnancy with DD was a really joyful and exciting time. A tiny bit of me was even kind of sad after she was born because I missed my bump and being pregnant.

I have been lurking on the October antenatal-club thread but haven't joined as I'm too scared of jinxing things. I hope it isn't out of turn for me to say so, but I have seen serious stuff on there and I think she was once a slightly pointless wait-er too. Perhaps another one for the BFP list?

I often wonder about LoveYouForever and Tigerseye and all the other 'old' names from the first thread and hope life is treating them well.

Anyway, true to form, I have yet again written an epic post! Apologies and lots of best wishes to everyone

I'd like to join as well please! Will start ttc first time soon, very exciting! I was given the MMR vaccin (I had only had 1 before as a child and the GP advised to get another one before pregnancy) and had to wait for a month before ttc. Coming off the pill tomorrow though!

Hello Bridget!

So glad to hear things are progressing well for you so far! It's not a surprise that you feel so differently after what you went through last time... It's a completely different experience. Have you found it hard to tell people? I'm sorry I can't remember how late your mc was, but I do hope that once you are past that stage, things feel a bit different. I know what you mean about missing your bump! And I'm sure you will again, once you have a gorgeous bundle who is definately there in your arms!

I have shifted myself to indefinite for waiting, and am hoping that we will fix a date and stick to it at some point, but am also ok with the reality that it may not happen at all. I am so lucky that we have the beautiful dd's that we do, and I need to accept that 3 children would be a challenge for our relationship and our finances at the moment.

Thanks for coming back on, and do keep updating us!

Spoke to DH last night and he said that whilst another baby wouldn't be the worst thing in the world we shouldn't really plan for one just yet. Guess you should put me down for 'indefinite' right now.

Strongly suspect MiniCakes will be at pre-school before we start trying... so that's Sep 2014 at the earliest

If we had more money etc...

Ooo a shiny new thread thanks leaf :) hi everyone

Hope you don't mind me hanging around even though I'm technically no longer a waiter?? I find comfort in the familiar names, not to mention the cakes! Not really activity trying yet as only just off the pill and seeing what happens...

Hi Bridget and congratulations :)

In terms of smear tests I made sure I had a clear one before stopping the pill as I had treatment last year. Was convinced I'd get yet another bad result so nearly fell off my chair when it came back clear! Results were also quick for me, I remember the days you had to wait like six weeks which was a nightmare!

Personally I think it's best to wait as your health is the most important thing, even more so when you're planning on becoming a parent. Fingers crossed for good results x

Hi moomin, good to see you, sorry I removed all the April waiters so promptly... Perhaps a bit previous really. Do hang around, i look forward to hearing about your progress.

Is zinc good? I have got some in my multi vit, so hopefully it'll chase it away. However I think what will be very good for it is another day in bed!

I'm glad you got your clear smear after your treatment... I have found it strange how I approached the test with quite a blasé attitude, oh yes, this again, but then the anxiety of waiting for the results really ramps up, so it is a huge improvement now that the results come through so quickly.

Unfortunately with the cold and spending the day in bed, I'm afraid it's only caramel wafers today....

Thanks for new thread Leaf! Still here, lurking. :) Feeling like I may want to bring forward my TTC date from June 2015 when I turn 30- I know it can easily take 2 years to get preg and would love to either be preg or have a babe during my 30th year... not quite ready enough to bring TTC date too early though!! I'm thinking of telling OH in 2 Christmas' that I want to start right way (we will be 29 1/2) :D Exciting!!x
