Hiya my DS is 11 1/2 months & we are starting to think about TTC DC2.
DS wasnt planned & was a bit of a miracle baby. I got pregnant in July 2011 after having 2 periods that year. I found out during my pregnancy I had PCOS. Since giving birth my cycle has been between 47-59 days; which is the most regular it's been since I was about 16.
My DP is away in the Army & only home at weekends. I really really want to be pregnant but with DP not home much & my irregular cycle I'm thinking it could take forever Sad

Oh, that sounds really tricky! Have you seen your GP/ having any treatment for the PCOS?
I am totally with you about really wanting to be pregnant. I guess on the plus side you have managed before and presumably you know more about TTC now which should help :)

Had unprotected sex for the first time today and in my fertile window Smile here's hoping for first time lucky!

I plan to see my GP about PCOS, any idea what can be done if anything?

Fingers crossed...

Don't know much about PCOS myself to be honest, one of my friends has it but she's not TTC yet as far as I know. Also doesn't breastfeeding regularly have a contraceptive effect? Hmm, to the GP with you!

Or do any other wise MNers know anything about this?

Yeah iv heard breastfeeding can act as contraception Hmm
I'm getting all excited -

  1. my period is 1 day late
  2. I feel as sick as a dog
  3. i fell asleep twice with my little one yesterday & once today
  4. I keep doing tiny but frequent wee'sGrin

All of the above could have other explanations other than pregnancy like

  5. my periods are never on time anyway
  6. I ate too much of my sons birthday cake today
  7. I have a 12 month old who doesn't sleep through the night
    • can't think of anything for that yay lol

Really hope I'm super lucky & managed to get pregnant though

Sad none that I wanted. Just took a test and it was negative. Was starting to get a little excited as I'm feeling how I felt when I was pregnant with DC1.
This is going to drive me crazy lol

Had to lol at your rational explanations! If you're not actually pregnant this month I'm guessing your doc could give you the pill to make you bleed, and then clomid, so I'd book yourself an appointment x

Having said that, not sure if your GP can prescribe clomid...although sure someone else in this forum will know x

Hiya what is clomid?

If I hadn't taken a test yesterday id be convinced I was pregnant. My body is doing exactly what it did first time round. Want my period now as without it I'm driving myself a little nuts.
