Did you know before your BFP?

Hi I'm currently on CD26 but for the last week have just not felt right, pressure headaches, carb loving, tired and now achey like period is going to come on. I remember this feeling when I fell pregnant with my DS. I don't want to POAS till next weekend as would rather not see a negative test. So my question is did you know you we're pregnant before your period was due and if so how? Grin

I was always one of those people who are convinced they're pregnant every month, even when I was on the pill. I never had regular periods on the pill so I used to get through loads of cheap pregnancy tests just to reassure myself. Oddly, when I actually was pregnant, I didn't feel pregnant at all except for a bit of heartburn - I decided to do a test because I walked past a window at work and out of the corner of my eye it looked like I had a huge bump! And I hadn't done a test for a few weeks and had some lying around so I thought I might as well. Very spooky since I was less than four weeks pregnant when I found out so obviously no bump at that point!

Aww I want to marvel at my amazing skin too but I'm due today and it hasn't happened yet! :(. My hair is lovely and thick though, even if it does seem to look constantly greasy.

one of my first symptoms was awful spotty skin I'm afraid!!!
I had a very good idea before my bfp. I felt like I was coming down with something like a cold for a week, but never did. I felt exhausted all the time (and still do at 9weeks) and my boobs got bigger and nipples got larger!! it was our first month ttc (I know, hate me if u want!!) so I don't know how much I would have symptom spotted anyway!!

I 'knew' because I felt slightly nauseous if I went too long without eating & the spray from the shower was painful on my nipples!

I had absolutely no idea. It was IVF and I was 100% sure it hadn't worked. I just felt "blank" and had no symptoms at all. I only took a test at home because the clinic wanted to do a blood HCG test and I wanted to prepare myself before getting that call at work.

I had far fewer symptoms on my BFP cycle than on many other cycles.

I knew for the last one. I was absolutely sure and I was right. I got the low ache, like AF starting, but days too early. Looking back I experienced this in each pregnancy, but didn't recognise the signs till the last one.

Yes, I always know (one successful pregnancy, two early miscarriages), mostly because the sickness started 48 hours after conception every single time! (Became severe hyperemesis within another fortnight or so.) So I've always been feeling really unwell for the best part of two weeks before I even get the positive test. Not sure I'd bother with the tests if I ever had the nerve to do it again.

They think that up to 50% of conceptions either fail to implant or the implantation is incomplete/unsuccessful so some of those "I was sure" cycles might be that (in those cases, your period would just appear at the normal time, or perhaps slightly late, and you might never have produced enough HCG for a positive test). One of my mcs was very early, and only produced a very faint positive on a very sensitive test - I could easily have missed it if I was using a less sensitive one. I had no doubt I'd conceived though!

Thank you ladies for responding its much appreciated whilst I wait to POAS. Today I've had the dull ache like AF is coming but I'm feeling increasingly optimistic that it will be a BFP. Fingers crossed anyway and hoping to try to hold out till next Sat to testShock

Euro - are you pregnant?

I have been very tearful recently (about 1 week into the dreaded TWW) could that be a symptom?

Can you get symptoms that quickly?

Apart from that I just don't feel like this is 'our month'

My symptoms were no different to usual. Was fatigued but zero sickness.

Twinkle- sort of. Got my bfp after ivf a couple of weeks ago but was told at my early scan that I might be about to miscarry. Have another scan tomorrow to confirm.

I knew with DC1. No idea how, I just knew! I assumed it would be the same the second time around so told DH he was being ridiculous when he said he thought I was because I suddenly felt sick in the middle of the afternoon for 3 days running at about 1w po. It was clearly far too early for any such symptoms. I joined the TTC thread on here & was forced encouraged to poas a few days pre-af & just stared open-mouthed as the second line appeared almost instantly! I felt bad for doing it when DH was at work but I was utterly convinced it would be negative! Blush

Good luck with your scan Euro really hope it's good news for you.

My DP is away this week so want to wait for him to return before testing but tue temptation is so so high. I think if AF did come now I would be really surprised. Had even thought of digging out my skinny maternity jeans but would probably jinx myself.
