Implantation bleeding

On Sunday I thought my period had started. Had some bright red blood but this quickly became brown, then pink then just mucus with some small brown stringy bits (sorry if tmi). All over within a couple of hours.

We've been ttc for couple of months and I couldn't help hoping it was and implantion bleed rather than af (which was due today)... So I poas this morning and it was a bfp!!

But having seen the blood on Saturday (and having had a m/c before ds a couple of years ago) part of me is still disbelieving. Should I be cautiously optimistic?

I'd say that you were pg, but understand your reservations. It seems late for implantation bleeding, which usually happens 3-5 days after conception. That said, the body can rid itself of excess uterine lining when the period would have been due.

If I were you, I'd wait another 5 days and test again, just to be sure. It's unlikely to turn negative, though.

Fingers crossed!

Yes, be cautiously optimistic! I thought implantation occurs about 10 dpo, and the blood might not come out straight away. Early pregnancy is often a matter of cautious optimism. It is what it is till you have that scan!

Thank you for your replies. I've remained cautiously hopeful and just done a clear blue and got 2-3 weeks! Getting slowly excited!

I'm in a similar situation. My periods all over the place moreson since an mc in Sept so have to rely on cervical mucus for when I'm fertile. I feel everything, I KNOW I'm preg. I know the egg was from my left ovary and I could feel the happenings in my left Fallopian tube.,
Been feeling really healthy, unusual for me as I have Fibromyalgia amongst other things.
Tonight, I had a slight spotting I've never had before. The only time I bleed when pg is during a mc.
I'm confused. One thing I detest with being so in tune with my body. I'm only 2+ 5 so could well be implantation I suppose. I feel all the usual stretchy womb feelings and WAS excited.
My history isn't good, I'm 42. 6 live babies, 6 mc's.
I can't go to the GP yet, I've just got to sit it out and take the consequences or get to the time I can poas to take to GP as proof (anyone else thinks I'm nutty when I've given them detailed early info with prev babies)
Sorry to crash this thread, I didn't mean to. Just my first post and I'm a bit bewildered tonight. I've been anxious every night anyway but I know the medication I'm on is ok for now.

I can only offer up the same advice about being cautiously optimistic. I suppose I'm joining you unless something worse happens in the meantime.

Take care x

I'm in similar situation, 42, 3 babies, now 5 weeks pregnant but started bleeding yesterday. Not sure this is implantation bleeding as its quite heavy with some stomach cramps. Being to my EPU, thy did internal scan and couldn't really give me any solid answer apart from them saying that they can see the pregnancy sac. Not sure what to think, never msc before.

In a similar situation. Came on yesterday ( wed) when not due on til sat. Normally very solidly 28 day cycle but yesterday was day 25. Not the same level of cramping I normally get. Boobs feel bigger as they did with first pregnancy but never had implantation bleeding before. Hoping it is rather than period but have to wait and see!
