Conception

So I'm ttc #2, and don't have any cervical mucus? ...at all?

Is this normal? I should be ovulating around now, but I've noticed no change in cervical mucus since AF. This is our first cycle in ttc, we conceived ds by chance.

Come to think of it, I don't really have discharge. At all really. Is it because I'm still breastfeeding? Is there anything I can do to increase it? And, most importantly, can we still conceive without it? :/

It probably is to do with still breastfeeding, it definitely affects the quantity of CM you produce. Have you tried a sperm-friendly lube? How often is your LO feeding, as I've heard this can also affect chances of conception.

Hi, it could well be to do with the fact that you are breastfeeding as this is supposed to affect conception chances if you are constantly feeding? i mentioned in another post about a natural fertility expert that I read a post on another site that she had done about how to tell when you are fertile, that does talk a lot about mucus etc, it may be worth sending her a message/asking her a question. May put your mind at rest? the link to the post is forum.prideangel.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=537 Hope this helps!! Best wishes xx

Not breastfeeding much, but at least once a day - DS is 2.5. Yesterday I noticed a tiny, tiny amount of 'fertile' mucus, but it was a very small amount and none since. We dtd anyway. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was i the same position as you ttc#2 about 18 months ago. I went nearly insane with checking for mucus which was never there. dc2 is asleep upstairs he'll be 6 months next week. Don't fret about the mucus!
