Vit B6 for luteal phase

I bloody hate that downer when AF arrives :-( I had acupuncture this month too and so had really high hopes for a BFP. Acupuncture really helped last time ....

Worse still, from keeping an eye on my cycles I suspect I have luteal phase issues. Only 7-8 days this month. I was investigated for a prolactinoma recently and although I dont have one, my prolactin levels are at high end of normal. I am worried that this is affecting my chances :-(

Anyone had any luck with vit B6 and lengthening LP?

Hi, im ttc and still breastfeeding ds which seems to be affecting my LP. It was 14 days prior to pregnancy, AF came back six months ago and it's been 10 days ever since. I know all the advice says 10 Is ok but I haven't conceived yet so thought I'd give the b6 a shot to see if it was an LP issue and if this would help. Obviously with the breastfeeding my levels of prolactin are high too.
I've been taking 50mg since the start if this cycle and for the first time since AF returned, I ovulated today on day 14. The last cycles have been all over the place and as late as day 28! Don't know if the b6 has helped but it does seem a bit of a coincidence. Will have to wait and see if AF is here in 10 days before I give a final verdict. Smile

I'm going to give natural progesterone a try again this month - just waiting for it to arrive. Used it a few months ago and got a BFP after nearly 2 years of trying, but sadly ended in a mc. Ready to have another go Smile

Hi, I started taking a B complex vit the last cycle before I got pg. It seemed to smarten up my somewhat incoherent cycle immediately. I started tkaing it after a mc and again I seemed to heal really quickly. I think it's a wonder vit!

Hi, not sure if it will help but I read a post from a natural fertility expert on another site about supplements to take when trying for a baby it was quite interesting, it may be worth contacting them? I will put the link to the post at the end, not sure if this will help but its another point of view to consider! good luck, let us know if you find the B6 helps. xxx forum.prideangel.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=532

Thank you, I will take a look. I am a bit confused about the right dosage to take as I've read that 10mg is the recommend limit. In terms of fertility though, I've read you need to take at least 50mg for it to have an effect....Confused
