DS was born just after Christmas in 2004. We started ttc again last month but feel a bit hesitant about trying this month incase we get another Xmas baby!
Anybody already got a Christmas baby and ttc this month? Just pondering...!

Can't really answer your question but if I test positive this month, I'll have another winter baby. Ds was 3 in February.
But I'm a Christmas baby (born 23rd) and I never missed out, my parents always made sure I had birthday presents and Christmas presents separately.

my mum's birthday is on Christmas day and she hates it. She said that she never had a birthday really, she would get one extra pressie at christmas when her siblings got loads on their birthdays. Her parents always said that they couldn't buy her lots of pressies because all the money was spent on Christmas. She never had birthday parties as everyone was too busy having christmas parties, and other people would buy her one present and say that it was for christmas and birthday. Of course now that she's older we do make a fuss and always buy and present for christmas and one for birthday and buy cards etc, but even now she says that she doesn't really have space to put up birthday cards, and even if she does they're lost in amongst the christmas cards. wouldn't wish being a christmas baby on my child tbh, because even if I made the special effort, it would never be his special day.

DS was born 19th dec and dd (due 30th) was born 8th january, so we have ds's b'day - xmas - new year - dd's b'day all in the space of 3weeks.

That's sad about your mum wannabe (how are you by the way?)
But I had the other side of that; we had brilliant Christmas/birthday parties at our house, everyone would come as of course they were off school; Mum made a snowman cake for me once.
The one gift for both birthday/Christmas thing only happened when I was a teenager and my friends couldn't budget for two presents!

Skerriesmum- I think 23rd Dec and Feb children are fine. I'm just thinking it wouldn't be great to have another child born only days away from Christmas! Think we will leave it for this cycle Wink
