Came off the DEPO contraception beginning of Dec. Still not had a period! Bl*y thing. wish I'd never gone on it as no-one told me it took so long to get periods again!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, been trying anyway and have done a few tests all negative. but last night in bed right boob was leaking clear goo like it did when i was preggers. just done test but still negative. trip to docs? or just body getting back to normal? anyone had similar experinces. ta

I was on the depo before i had my daughter and i didn't have a period until 10 months later. It took me 14 months to catch all together and i had similar experiences. My veins came up on my boobs and that happened when i was preg with my son. I thought i was preg so many times. The local chemist must of loved me doing all the tests. Give it at least a year and if you still not getting any monthlys go to the gp. Its bloody fustrating isn't it !

Finished depo feb 2005. Had no period until went on the pill (took for 3 months) which can kick-start your system. First contraceptive-free period in August. Still bd now and every month convince myself I'm pg - my hormones are not what they once were, particularly on the boob front. I do wonder if some of the difference is having had a child. (Some friends say they have noticed a change.)
Would try going to the docs if I were you.

I would say a trip to the docs is in order. If breast is leaking, this can be indicative of an excess of prolactin. This can itself affect ovulation. Prolactin excess can be treated with tablets.

thanks for the info - really regret depo - great if you have had your kids but they shouldn't let you have it if you want more its just silly.

we're moving in three weeks so will chat to new docs about it when i register with them, feeling bummed out right now :(
