Well the Easter thread was getting rather full so I thought I would start this.
Pick a coloured ribbon and dance round the big old fertility symbol.

Don't you need to be pregnant now or this month at least to get a May baby?

I am TTC at the mo and would love it to work this month, I'm currently in the dreaded 2ww!

What about you?

This is true. Oh well, it's such a good fertility symbol it was too good to miss.

I'm technically in the TWW but I know that AF is on her way.

Can we dance around the Cerne Abbas Giant instead? Attaching my ribbon to his...er...tackle.

Also in the TWW, but looking very unpromising...

Pipbin · 04/09/2012 21:18

I grew up in the next village to the giant.
And wouldn't you just know who has turned up to join this tread with me. Yes it's AF in all her glory.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe the HSG frightened the egg this month but cleared the way for next month!

Pipbin · 04/09/2012 21:35

Thats what I'm thinking Squirrel.
Also there has been much less spotting that I have ever had before.

I can't decide if it looks promising or not...I'm reading into every little thing and that's a dangerous game! Not due on for about a week though, so surely all signs are in my head and not actual signs?!

Sorry to hear AF has arrived Pipbin and I have no idea what HSG is...

Sad sorry AF has arrived Pipbin Sad

AF was due yesterday if I was having a 28 day cycle (normal) so I guess I've got "any time in the next week" to wait judging by some of the ones I've had this year Wink

Haven't rung GP for blood results yet, must do that tomorrow and get an appointment with any doctor other than Dr Twat Wink

Had an awfully hot afternoon in the office, even had damp arm pits Blush
So that means: early menopause / pregnancy / AF on her way Confused

I'm not even going to think about it lies unconvincingly

If the weather was anything like it was here then it was actually very hot today, but over cast and close.

Hi NoTea an HSG is where they send dye up your lady areas and xray it so they can see if your tubes go where they should do. In my case one of them does.

welcome notea, hope you are lucky this month.

well 10DPO so tested with an internet cheapie this morning and got a BFN, to be expected really, will test again in 2 days time at a more respectable 12DPO.

like the new symbol, both maypole and Cerne giant!!

shifty my surgery ring if there is anything of concern otherwise they leave it. It was the same with my fertility blood tests they took. I rang them up and they said "everything is normal". I then had to make app to see GP to get a printout and see what normal really meant. so it could be a good sign??

sorry AF got you pipbin :(

Black my surgery is the same so no news is good news.
Hopefully I can get a referral back to gynaecology as I'm reasonably sure my endometriosis is back.

AF arrived this morning the bitch so I'm back on day 1
Last month was a respectable 29 day cycle.
So will look to using OPK around day 11 onwards.

In a fair bit of pain already Sad

Ooo, she's gone straight for "heavy", like they used to be....
But heavy at the start normally equals much pain (I'm drugged up to the eyeballs).
Sigh....

that sucks shifty. I've always been very lucky with mine. rare i take anything for the pain as pain usually doesn't exist. I don't think bad pain is normal though so hope you get another referral.

Feel quite grumpy and am constantly running to the loo (wearing white today Blush)
I've had 2 laparoscopies and was about to have a 3rd when I fell with DS. I wonder if I need a bit more lasering?!!

Report
Squirrel77 · 05/09/2012 17:19

Haha I never wear white - far too clumsy, AF or not!

Shifty sorry to hear about the endo. I have it as well - had a laproscopy in 2009 and am now wondering if it is contributing to my inability to get preggo. I have just been referred to for more 'investigations' (shudder) - trying to figure out whether this will involve a HSG or because I already have confirmed endo would they just got straight to a laparoscopy and dye - any thoughts?

In other news, I am currently 10 DPO and going mental as usual! Latest 'symptoms' are a gross sour taste in my mouth that has persisted all day, and not wanting Mr S to touch me...hmmmm....probably just PMS? Feel free to indulge me...

Hey Shifty Looks like we are cycle buddies this month.
Sorry AF got you. We are BOTH going to get BFPs this month and thats all there is to it.

Grin I love you pipbin Grin
The gauntlet has been set: 2 BFPs are on order Wink
Squirrel I think the sensible thing would be another laparoscopy tbh. Once they know you have it they tend to not mess around. My gynae gave me 6 months to get pg, we tried (badly & at the wrong time) for 5 months and I used OPK the last month and was bloody lucky. We'd been trying 3-5 days too early Blush each time!!

So flipping heavy this evening Sad

But I've made a glorious chocolate cake Wink
All will be well once I've eaten some Grin

Can I just ask how you know for sure what dpo you are? My OPK had a smiley face last Monday so do I count Wed as 1dpo? Am I 9dpo today?

Thanks

Report
ShiftyFades · 06/09/2012 10:22

I used the day I got the positive OPK, I think it said on the package that it's within 24hrs of that. So could be 30mins or 23hrs and 59 mins if you take it literally.

Not sure what others do.

Pipbin · 06/09/2012 12:31

As I've been doing this since forever now I seem to have added a new method each time.
I use opks and a CBFM then put those details plus my temp into fertility friend.

Hmm...nothing is clear then really! Right well I think I'll take Tues as 1dpo, so that would make me 10dpo today. Can't be far wrong can it!

Just to complicate matters...I chart my temperatures as well and often they go up to days after the OPK is positive. So it can be anywhere from the day the smiley face appears to two days later.

I am 11 DPO and got a BFN this morning. However my boobs are on F-I-R-E so I am still holding out hope!

Report
NoTeaForMe · 06/09/2012 13:13

Aaaah! Maybe I'll think I'm 9dpo then. That way if I'm wrong at least I won't test too early or anything...does that make sense.

It's too hard not to read into all these little feelings etc though! I'm already going mad!

Thanks for your help

It is a nightmare!!
What I found, with DS was: positive OPK on cd 15, cycle was 28.5 days (almost to the hour!) so AF would have arrived 13.5 (call it 14) days after ovulating.
So mine was pretty spot on perfect.....

It's just been shite whilst TTC number 2!!!

firey boobs THAT'S a very good sign!!! I couldn't even move my arms when I was in the first trimester, I nearly cried at bedtime and certainly couldn't sleep on my front!
