Continuation of the last thread.

There's cake for scoffing, backs for patting, and screeching death metal for all your metalling moments. All welcome so come on in and get settled into the plush sofas!

Dictionary:
<Metalling: the term 'metalling' was coined after a typo, ie the art of 'mentalling' in that one gets all mental and in a head fuck with the slightest of symptom of, well, anything.>

<Mosh pit: Metalling of course gave rise to the mosh pit, where we all dive into when we start, well, metalling>

So settle into the mosh pit, we have special VIP area's for those on the 2WW, the new bumps metalling with segregated areas for the first/second/third trimesters and the club class cocktail bar for those who have just got AF and can get-pissed let loose for the first two weeks!

And we have a recently refurbished Mosh Pit Nursery for the graduates IQ Manda and Blue, we are currently running a rota for babysitting so those three can go and get-pissed have some rest! I have done my bit this week so i need the next volunteer!

So sorry bugger. Horrid, horrid situation to be in. sad

fatasbutter Tue 03-Jul-12 13:47:26

Oh bugger I'm so sorry to hear all that's been happening. It's so traumatic <big heartfelt hugs>
I know what you mean about TTC changing who you are - since the MC and all the BFN's since, I have felt so low and hostile towards people, especially the ones who are pg and at the same stage I should have been at sad
We are all here to chat to/rant at if you need it when you at ready to come back - it is hard hearing all the good news too, but it won't be like that forever x

Midgetm Tue 03-Jul-12 13:48:13

Bugger just a quick one from work. I'm so sorry. Just the worst news possible (had the same but not growth but low HB was the problem).

pebs is wise, sometimes you need to take a break. I know I did. My road to motherhood was long and rocky and I never thought I'd get there.

Hate adding stats but it might give you hope..

age 41, 1 DC. pregnancy number 10, currently 24 weeks with DC2.

PS welcome back Martha - big lick and a hug for you lady. Normal appointments are just too much for us mosh pit people.

JaffaSnaffle Tue 03-Jul-12 15:19:23

bugger, I am so sorry my love. I think you are right to take a break if you need one. I had one for about 3 months after my mc in the summer, and it did me a lot of good. I knew I was ready to try again when I was more desperate to be pg than thinking about what had happened. I had medical management with my first mc, if you wanted to pm me about it, I'd be happy to talk to you about it. X

MarthasHarbour Tue 03-Jul-12 16:18:38

thanks for the licks midget grin

ConfusedMumDotCom Tue 03-Jul-12 17:29:11

So sorry bugger. ((hugs))

I am (whispers) 5 weeks today. gulp

Any advice re: baby aspirin? Should I take it? If so how much and when?

Quicksie Tue 03-Jul-12 17:49:55

buggerlugs that sucks. It just isn't fair. I too had medical management at 12 weeks about 3 ish months ago...again, like Jaffa, send me a message if you want any information. I found that the leaflets etc they give you are accurate about the procedure, but they don't tell you what happens afterwards. I did a lot of phoning the EPU checking symptoms, so I might be able to spare you the time on hold!
If I can be any help at all, please let me know, it would feel like it was all worth something then!

My details:
Age 34, TTC #1, MMC at 12 weeks April 2012.

tasmaniandevilchaser Tue 03-Jul-12 17:52:30

just coming out of lurking to give a hug to bugger, I'm so so sorry sad. A break sounds very sensible. Hope you have lots of kindness and support around you.

Quicksie & Jaffers if you would pm me i'd apprecaite it. They said it would be by tablets, not D&C.

tasmaniandevilchaser Tue 03-Jul-12 18:13:20

heehee I remember you from other threads, that is very exciting news! Congrats!

There seems to be lots of BFPs, congrats to all of you, ted, confused, pixie and anyone else I've missed, hope to be joining you very soon!

martha can't believe you're 11+3! Will be thinking of you Thursday.

midget, state and pear glad it's all going well. All these successful pg give me hope.

and hi to pebs - I remember you mentioned B vits and EWCM - I've not taken them this cycle and I've def had more EWCM. Still not a huge amount as I'm a dried up old hag.

hi to everyone else, sorry not been around to read all the news, but nice to pop in and catch up a bit. I totally know what you mean about TTC changing who you are. I don't feel the same. I feel a lot older. Not in a good way. And there's a part of me that's bitter. I never used to be bitter.

my stats - DD aged 3; Nov 2011 MMC 10 wks, discovered at 12 wk scan; Feb 2012 Ectopic pg

oo00PIXIE00oo Tue 03-Jul-12 18:17:36

bug I'm so very sorry - lots of virtual hugs to you x

pebspop Tue 03-Jul-12 19:05:15

Interesting tas. I got a tiny but of ewcm this cycle but not as much as a had before b vits. I am still taking them though.

MrsPear Tue 03-Jul-12 19:26:10

Firstly i am so sorry to hear your sad news bugger If you need a break take it and maybe ask your GP for a chat through everything?

Good luck for moomin for her scan tomorrow and to martha (welcome back) for your scan on Thursday - are you really over 11 weeks?! Time has flown. shock

Congrats on all the bfps and i hope all you ladies in the awful waiting and trying period get yours soon

midget 10 mcs; i am lost for words. My DH and I have already said if this doesn't work ds is going to be an only as this is too stressful - dh summed it up when he said "why can't we be like my cousin and his wife? They are so so excited with loads of plans" we are still on knicker / back pain watch and on a day by day basis. I can't even imagine holding another live baby. You and your dh are brave people.

Jollyb Tue 03-Jul-12 20:26:10

Oh bugger buggerlugs. So sorry to hear about your scan. Look after yourself and allow yourself to get angry and wallow as needed. Will be thinking of you.

Moomin - good luck for tomorrow

As for my stats - TTC number 2. DD 21 months. Early MC 5 weeks in Dec 2011 and then a blighted ovum diagnosed at 8 weeks in March.

Dorita75 Tue 03-Jul-12 20:37:34

I'm so sorry buggerlugs and sending virtual hand holding over the coming weeks. Moomin good luck tomorrow.

We've just found out DP has a varicocele which can mean infertility. Fookin great. We has mmc in February and have had a month off while he was getting his bits ultrasounded etc..so if nothing happens in next 3 months we're going to look at sperm tests/surgery for this varicocele thing...

Anyone any experience of this? It's basically a varicose vain in the tube to the testicles!

MarthasHarbour Tue 03-Jul-12 20:49:51

confused wow you are 5 weeks - congrats! obviously i missed your BFP. I took one junior aspirin a day until about 7-8 weeks, up to you how long you take them for but not for too long though.

I have really painful trapped wind, it comes and goes. DH is getting paranoid that i am MCing again but i know it is a different feeling and i have no spotting. Anyone else had this? It is sooo frustrating (and sore)

Midgetm Tue 03-Jul-12 21:11:00

MrsP Not quite 10. 10 Pregnancies. 1 worked - I have a lovely daughter and 1 seems to be working touches wood, freaks out, shit did I say that out loud so that is 8 that have gone tits up. We kind of lost count - it was easier that way--. And some were very early. And some weren't, but thankfully none have been late. I think that would have broken me. We are not brave, more like bloody minded. And when something is worth having it is worth hanging in there for as long as your sanity allows. Funnily enough this one was always our last hurray and things seem to be working. I hate giving stats but I do think if I can have success anyone can. I had a weird suspected EP incident - that nearly put me off for good (Tas will know what I mean there). It was scary - not loosing a baby scary but maybe not being alive for the one baby I have. Gave me a strange kind of perspective of how lucky I was to have one, despite all the losses. This took the pressure off and hey presto - the old bird is pregnant. We put so much pressure on ourselves I think our bodies secretly tell us to fuck off by not playing ball!

Midgetm Tue 03-Jul-12 21:11:49

Confused - I take 150 mg now but self medicated at 75mg with DD up until about 14 weeks - this time I take it up to 24 weeks.

Midgetm Tue 03-Jul-12 21:46:10

Oops that meant to say 34 weeks

oo00PIXIE00oo Tue 03-Jul-12 21:47:35

martha I know exactly what you mean re trapped wind - I'm exactly like that especially at night - it wakes me up then I have to pee always put the light on as expect to see spotting sad

Heartburn was was my other problem but I've given up caffeine and that seems to have done the trick!

tasmaniandevilchaser Tue 03-Jul-12 21:50:21

moomin forgot to say good luck for tomorrow

Jollyb Tue 03-Jul-12 22:18:13

dorita75 my boyfriend had a varicoele too . He noticed it when it became painful when he cycled. It was treated by embolisation - a little coil was inserted into the vein to block of the blood supply. This was done under sedation. Please try not to worry too much about any association with infertility as from my understanding the link is quite weak. In fact i think we conceived our daughter before he had the treatment.

marth I can only echo what pixie said re.wind. Its caused me so much metalling.

Bit of a self indulgent one here ladies so feel free to ignore I just need to clear it out.

I feel so overwhelmed and anxious atm, were hoping to move this year, desperate to in fact but its harder than I thought, we are currently selling our car to replace with a cheaper more practical option for us, but now that's finally falling into place pulling it off seems to much, cue tearfullness from me, I feel shit, hungry but don't want anything so I'm grumpy. I've brought a few small bits for the baby and the past two days its making me feel bad, I was so excited now I'm gripped with fear again, my best and only friend (not exageration, things have been hard since having dc1) is avoiding me as her marriage just split up and I didn't condemn her dh, I said I love them both and shant avoid either. Dps recovery from his op is slower than expected. I feel vulnerable, pathetic and stupid, I need a sodding good cry and a slap to shake myself up, if I don't feel better in the morning I'm calling the mw, as I feel like this too often.

15+3 and I hope I'm still pregnant.

Hugs state - don't feel the need to excuse yourself for posting all that, I can see that you'd need to get it all out! Any chance your friend just needs a couple of days to get her head straight before she's ready to be around friends again?

Fingers crossed you're feeling better this morning
