What can I expect after having copper coil removed?

I've had a copper coil in for the last 18 months and we're just about to start TTC no 2. I'm planning to have the coil removed this week at about CD17 of a usual 28 day cycle. What can I expect as a result of removal and is it ok to start trying next month? Ta!

I concieved Ds 4 days after i had my copper coil removed.

You'll have cramps and a bit of bleeding, but as the coil doesn't interfere with your body chemistry things should be just the same as before, you'll just be fertile!

Hope you start a POAS thread soon! :o

I've never been pg, but had the coil for about 4 years. Had it removed once as I was experiencing ovulation bleeding so wanted to try going back on the pill. I had no pain or bleeding upon removal, just had to cough and it was out! Haha!

Great, thanks everyone. Let the bonkathon commence! When we were TTC DS it took 4 months after stopping the pill and I had no idea when I was ovulating, almost no symptoms. Now I'm not taking the pill I can spot ovulation a mile off so i can't wait to get going! Wink
