Hi
I would really like to hear from anyone who has experienced all lows on there first month using the cbfm. this is my 3rd cycle since i MC but was ttc 2yrs prior to that. I have on DS who is 2 but really starting to feel something is wrong with me.

Any help welcome. xx

How long are your cycles usually? Before you conceived the pregnancy that you lost (and I've really sorry to hear that you did after the long wait for the +ve), did you have any investigations?

Hi
ladybee not had any investigations was just about to when i fell pregnant with DS as it had been 16 months. The only thing i know is the scanner when i had my mc said i had text book ovaries and womb. UCL was around 30-35 days but did miss months quite frequently too.

Smile at the textbook bits

If you used to miss months, maybe you have anovulatory cycles every so often? if that's the case then you wouldn't have that LH surge so the CBFM would stay on a low.

Typical luteal phase (the time after ovulating) ranges between 10-16 days, with 14 being 'average'. If you take the longest cycle length of 35 days, and the longest luteal phase of 16 days, then you still wouldn't be due to ovulate until CD19 and could conceivably be as late as CD25 (35 day cycle, 10 day luteal phase) - on the shorter cycle length you'd be looking at CD14-CD20, so I think just keep an eye out for other fertile signs between CD 14-25 and see whether that tallies with your monitor.

If you don't get any highs/peaks at all for a couple of cycles in a row then it might be worth talking to your GP, reminding them about the time it took to conceive the last time.

Do you chart? It's worth doing I think if you're irregular as at least it will help you to know whether/when to expect your period - when I do it, I feel much more in control. I only take temps up til I get a distinct temperature shift to say ovulation has probably happened, then forget about it until period is due so as not to get too upset/obsessed with the post-ov temperature variations.

Try not to get too upset about it - I don't really know many women on here or in RL who have absolutely textbook cycles month in month out. But the monitor can be a good starting point in learning more about how you are unique and dealing with that with ttc. Good luck, and sorry again about your loss, I've lost three pg in the last year and know too well how hard it is when you're not successful quickly after a loss. It's the one thing you want and it's hard to accept that it's not going to be easy to get it back.
