can you miss a period and go back to ovulating?

Stopped breastfeeding 4 months ago and have had 3 proper periods since. However, this time I had spotting starting 6 days ago which lasted a couple of days (literally just when I was wiping - not even enough to stain knickers). I did a preggie test today - which was negative.

Could I have missed a period and gone back to ovulating? Or was that my period (is that possible?) Be grateful for any advice / info!!

Hi - it could've been implant bleeding - which can occur from 6-10 days after ovulation, in which case a test may not show up just yet. I would wait a week (impossible I know) then test again if AF not shown up. If you do a search on implant bleed you may find some useful info. HTH
