If not pregnant, why all this nausea?

Feeling mega queasy since Wed - exactly like what I remember when have been pregnant (2 mcs and DD 14mo). Also sense of smell gone mad. Cooked lovely lasagne for dinner and couldn't eat any.
BUT - had normal period from last Wed to Sat, normal for me in every way and bang on time.

Going mad thinking about it! Def didn't plan on no.2 for a few more years so have been using contraception. Up shit creek financially.
If not pregnant, why do I feel so sick? What else has pregnancy-like symptoms?

Nausea can be a stress symptom. Are you stressed about your finances (or something else?).

I had a bug about a month ago that sounds exactly like you describe: I felt really really sick for about 3 or 4 days (but wasn't actually sick). Had a very acute sense of smell (esp of food), which made the nausea a million times worse. It was just a stomach bug, and passed in a few days.

Thanks for reassurances - this is exactly what I want to hear!
Not stressed really (despite username) - just had 2 weeks off work, everything plodding along ok, got our heads above water financially but 2 kids in childcare would tip us over the edge.
I'm hoping it is some sort of stomach bug. Not nice all the same!
