Hello,

So, I've been TTC on and off for TWO BLOODY YEARS!!!!! And am going to the doctors next week. However, I am the eternal optimist and will be SWI like the best of them for the next few weeks before I start symptom spotting again. Grin

Come and join me and lets see who gets lucky this month!

(But pretty please let me be one. I mean, I am starting the thread, those are the rules aren't they?

Those are the rules! Think I'll be next testing a little bit later than that but still waiting for the red tide of doom to arrive.

I've just bought 20 super early (10mlu) tests for silly money on ebay. Blush AF hasn't even left the building yet!

Still, lots of POAS fun for me next month!

Well they arrived, and you know what I just did don't you? Oh yes my friends, despite AF finishing two days ago I did, of course POAS. Blush

Well, I was bored.....

I will be POAS on valentines day if AF hasn't arrived by then! How romantic, me weeing in a pot so I can dip my super cheap ebay tests in while DH waits for me outside the bathroom door with a bunch of flowers!
You can't say we don't know how to live!

Yay fragglerocks!
Thanks for joining me - maybe we could fashion heart shaped pots to wee in to make it a bit more valentinish!!!!

Well I have some heart shaped ramekins, will they do!? Will never be able to make chocolate fondant in them again though!!

POAS by accident this morning!! I picked up a pg stick instead of an ov stick because i'm an idiot! BFN but hardly suprised as i'm on cd23 and my cycle is usually between 33 and 40! Oh well, did some SWI to cheer myself up!!

Happy Saturday KatyCustard!

Ooo thats DH's birfday! Yep that's when I will probably be testing - ie about 7 days before when I should be testing...

Unless I grow some self control in the meantime (unlikely)

Good luck all!

Hi PopsyWind

I like this marathon POAS session we will be having!

Good luck with that self control!! Wink

So impressed about the heart shaped ramikins, fragglerocks but think chocolate fondant is definately the best thing for them!

Hello Popsywind - if you find the secret to self control let me know!!!! Smile

I have locked my cheapie tests in the bathroom cabinet, and put the key under the matress in the spare room. Because that's really going to stop me!!!!!

Happy Saturday!

I'll be testing around the 14th too. 11th cycle so feel I'm well over due a BFP!

Until then, lets get on with the SWI! :)

heehee, I was wondering who would start the next 'testing around' thread, and yes, surely the rules are that whoever starts it wins it? Grin

If AF doesn't arrive I will be testing on Feb 18th. fingers crossed!

Just bought my first ever pg tests (cheapy two pack from supermarche). Thankfully, didn't bump into anyone I know (they were hidden under lasagne sheets!). Given that I'm thinking about it this early I'm going to struggle to last until Feb 18th!

Hello MrsHende and ghosteditor !

MrsHende - 11 cycles!!! You are definately due a BFP. I have to confess that I've only ever done about 6 before taking a month off, I get too fed up after a while.

ghosteditor I am so blaze (SP?) about buying tests now, but I remember the first few times being very furtive and hiding them under some very bizarre things!

If you get to the 18th without p.o. either of them I will be very impressed and have to give you some sort of prize!!!!

Welcome mrshende and ghosteditor

I have decided that Feb will be our month so fx for us all!

I'm already staring at the PG tests int he drawer so lasting until 14th is probably going to kill me!

This is my first proper month of trying so i'm a bit confused as to my cycle etc so have decided to just do a lot of SWI and keep my fingers crossed, next month if no BFP I will start doing the ov tests properly, I have done a couple this month and got bored that the kept saying I wasn't ovulating!!

I'm testing on the 18th.

We've been trying for over a year and decided to go to Drs if it doesn't work this month.

I have a misplaced sense of confidence this month. I think it has something to do with having Christmas out the way Hmm as all the rellies staying rather buggered up December.

I've got brazil nuts, pre-seed and DH. I can't fail! Grin

Oooh! MrsA can ask a silly question? Why brazil nuts and what's pre-seed? We went to the doctor this month and have now been referred to the assisted conception clinic. I actually feel a bit more relaxed about ttc now - I think it's because I know I've done everything I can and all we can do now is try and beat the clinic to it!

KatyC I can understand getting bored after trying for 6 months but time isn't really on my side, we're ttc #1 and would really like more than that and will be 35 this year so need to get a move on!

ghost I laughed at you hiding your tests under some lasagne sheets! When I was last out getting tests I had just slipped them under a magazine when I heard a loud whisper behind me of 'Granny, that's my teacher'! Argh! that last thing a teacher needs is the gossip at the school gate being that she's pg! Fortunately Granny was looking the other way and I had time to side step in front of the corn plasters before she turned around! :o

Brazil nuts are a source of zinc which is supposed to boost male and female fertility.

Pre seed is a sperm friendly lubricant which is supposed to help if you don't have much EWCM. Grapefruit is supposed to help with that too but I'd rather use high priced lube than eat a grapefruit.

KatyCustard · 30/01/2011 22:42

Hello everyone joining us!

MrsAlanKey I think I need some of that pre-seed suff pronto, I don't have hardly any EWCM.

mrsHende as a former teacher I feel your pain!!!

We have got a friend staying tonight, and tonight was supposed to be a prime SWI night, according to dates and charts etc, however our bed is comicaly squeaky and the headboard is RIGHT against the wall ajoining the spare room so that counts tonight out. And DH is away for a week on Tuesday I so may not be around tomorrow night Wink

Try the floor! We have done that before when we had FIL staying Blush Although trying to stay quiet was comical!

Have fun!!

KatyCustard · 30/01/2011 23:25

Well, I did just suggest that but apparently "it hurts my knees"! Huh! If we are successful this month a teeny amount of knee pain is nothing compared to my part of the bargain! Try pushing an orange up your nostril Mr, then you'll know pain! Men!!!!

mrshende, heehee, sounds like you hid them just in time! Fortunately there's no chance of me bumping into colleagues at the supermarket but there's a high chance that I might bump into teammates from hockey, and we're a massive bunch of gossips so it's not something I want them to know about yet!

mrsalankey, hmm, grapefruit, I didn't know that! love pink grapefruit, much nicer than white or red!

and katy surely the shower is the obvious option there? We too have a squeaky headboard but tbh it's DH I'm worried about not, the squeaky bed! He's, ahem, somewhat vocal...

Hiya can I join you please? Had my period 19th Jan then tried my first ov stick and got a smiley face at the weekend so we have had a go - there is nothing to do now but wait is there? I am thinking I will be testing around 19th Feb, if I can hold out that long. Dum de dum...., we have two boys already and I am over 40 - we were trying last year but not properly and nothing happened so I am going to give it a couple of months now of trying at the right time and see what happens. Good luck to everyone :)

I'll be testing around then too. First month of ttc and I'm symtom spotting (or should that be imagining) like a nutter. I had promised myself not to get my knickers in a twist and think about it all that much but best laid plans go to waste I guess after trying not to be pregnant for all these years.

Good luck everyone.
