Confused! Faint line followed by BFN

Hi all, I need some advice. I took a clear blue pregnancy test this morning and had a very faint, but visible cross. I thought my eyes were playing tricks with me, but even the "not pregnant" line, and the control line were quite faint. I bought a digital test this evening, and it said I wasn't pregnant.
Has anyone experienced this and then turned out not to be pregnant? My preriod is due tomorrow, I've been faintly nauseous for 2 days now, so hoping that the first test was right.

I had this exact same thing (excpet my BFN was day after period due) this week so I empathise! I tested following morning with second CB digi and it said ?pg 1-2 weeks?. So either CB digis aren't as sensitive as all that or I have taken a little longer to produce the hormone than avg.

So test again tomorrow with FMU. Hope you get a BFP like me!

Good luck Ninunina

my friend got a +ve with a cheap tesco test and tried to double check with a clear blue digital which said -ve.. she assumed she wasnt pg.

she tested again a week later and it said +ve 3+ weeks! (baby due in may Smile)

Thanks for your reassurance. I'm still not sure if I'm pregnant or not. I did another couple of tests and got 1 negative and 1 super faint line (that again I could have been my imagination). I'll try again tomorrow...a couple of good signs are AF didn't arrive, and the nausea is still here.

Took another 2 tests this morning and the lines were faint, but definitely there. I'm pretty sure its +ve now (plus it would explain this neausea). Got went off my porridge this morning.

Clearblue digitals aren't very sensitive. Have seen this happen a lot.

False positives are rare. In situations such as yours, it's usually the case that you've just tested too early with a test that isn't sensitive (the clearblue digi) and got a false negative or an early faint pos can change to neg in the case of a chemical pregnancy. People are picking up chemical pregnancies more and more due to early testing and otherwise they would not even have known as their period would generally turn up as normal or a couple of days late.

But congratulations. And hope the nausea subsides!
