just curious if anyone has tracked their ov dates online and if the dates given by these were similar or completely different to results from an Ovulation test?

I'm using a clear blue fertility monitor and I'm on CD 16 now - it has said I have been on high fertility (2 out of 3 bars) since day 7 (4th Jan) and I was still high but not yet 'peak' fertility this morning on CD 16 (12th Jan) (3 bars). The ovulation calculator on here based on the charting and monitoring I have been doing says my fertile days would be 2nd Jan to the 6th of Jan so not really sure if that helps or confuses.

To be honest I have been confusing myself so have just ended up doing the deed every day since CD7 and still going - knackered and now reading threads saying every other day is better than every day so not sure if I have done the right thing... oh well I'll see on the 24th (or not!)

@Snakeears:

I think that it's true that doing the deed every other day is better than every day. We learned in biology class (years ago!) that sperm needs I think some 48 hours to be made. It surely comes out when hubby needs to come (sorry tmi), but it is 'unready' which means it's not quite as good as it could be, i.e. not enough, without heads or tails, with faulty tails etc. That's not what you want when you want to get pregnant...

that's interesting kikibo - DH will be relieved to hear that as I have been quite demanding over the last week or so! (he actually asked if we could 'just cuddle' last night, awwwww! Grin)

I've been using the Period Tracker app for the last year and it's been pretty spot on for predicting when AF will arrive although my cycle does vary a bit. This is my first cycle TTC and I've been using the First Response daily ovulation sticks. P Tracker gave me an ovulation date 1 day before the sticks showed the LH surge, so it's done pretty well I think.
