Anybody else due to test around 24th January?

Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

Yes, me!!!

I'm on CD19 and have had some cramping today so obviously can't help wondering if it could be pregnancy related (although I know I'm being silly probably). What do you think?

I'm 2 or 3 days post-ovulation.

Have you been imagining anything yet?

Hi Arabella,

It's funny you should mention cramping as I've had some today too...was moaning about it in the car to DP all the way to work this morning Grin

When does the embryo implant though (if fertilisation has happened)....it won't have happened yet will it?

Apparently implantation occurs 7-10 days after ovulation so I'm wondering if I'm just being suggestible because I'm in the 2ww! Strange we both have it though isn't it?

I know I'm going to end up testing really early and wasting lots of money!!

Me!
TTC#1, first cycle after stopping the pill so have no idea how long my cycle is etc. but in theory if I'm 28 days my AF should arrive on Jan 24th....

Have had stomach cramps and bloating since last Saturday. But no other "symptoms" so I'm not sure if I'm over thinking it!

Really really really hope I'm pregnant cos DH might be sent to the US to work for a few months from February which would really create problems for our TTC!

Have been obsessively googling bloating and early pregnancy symptoms...it seems to be one but is also linked to AF!

7-10 days that's blooming ages isn't it!

Hi Fluffy donkey, I can't remember what my cycles are really either, Around the 29 day mark I think. Testing on 24th is based on a 28 day cycle for me too :)
DH living away could definitely affect TTC!

Have either of you two used OPKs this month? I think I ovulated Sun/Mon so day 13/14 and we did the deed so to speak on day 11,12,13 and 14 Grin

Hi Fluffy. Did you find any good symptom spotting webites?

Muffins - I used CBFM which gave my 2 peak fertility days as CD 16 and 17.

Me! I think! normally have a cycle of around 28days, last AF started 25th Dec, so using varoius OV calculators, i should've just ovulated last week from 6-9th Jan..... Again i keep imagining my sense of smell has got more acute and i am very very bloated, but the latter could be due to wind!

Report
FluffyDonkey · 12/01/2011 14:05

Not sure when (or if) I've ovulated (don't use OPKs - I told myself I wouldn't obsess Grin ). Possibly last weekend based on CM. To be sure we've been SWI everyday (owwwww) although now we're going to go to every other day (just don't have the energy!)

Not found any good symptom sites really, at least none that have told me that you can get bloated just a couple of days after ovulating and therefore I MUST be pregnant Grin

Whenever bloating is mentionned, it's amongst 10 other symptoms, none of which I have, so it's pretty inconclusive.

This waiting is horrible though.

Hi Fluffy, there is a good site called countdown to pregnancy which has a list of the most common symptoms to have on day 1, 2, 3,4 etc post ovulation. Good fun but a bit obsessive!

Thanks! Will check it out!

Ooh that site sounds good I will have a look too!

Do you guys know what are the chances of getting pregnant in any one month?
And on first cycle too as this is 1st month of trying really

Hi muffin, I think its something like a 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 chance each cycle. But there's no reason why it wouldn't happen first time. I think if you have no fertility problems a large part of it is a matter of chance.

Hello I'm new! (although I've been lurking for quite a while).
I'm TTC#1 and on our 3rd cycle. And I'm obsessed! I'm about 6-7 days DPO (don't use OPKs or anything at the moment so not definite) and I'm due on 21 Jan if cycle is as expected. I am now clearly going to look at that website and spot lots of symptoms that I'm probably imagining...

It's just funny isn't it, as soon as I have unprotected sex at the right time of the month I just assume I'll get pregnant which is stupid I know!

Hi vintage nancy what symptoms have you got so far then? :)

Well muffins so far I have had pulling/tugging/crampy feelings low in stomach; sore-ish boobs and some very mild (possibly imagined) nausea. Ha ha! Have you had anything else other than the cramping?

Report
muffins · 12/01/2011 17:36

No but then I'm only about 2-3 days post ovulation I think so prob bit early I guess!
With ds1 I had really sore boobs and that was about it really, bit of tiredness and headaches at about 6 weeks onwards as well I think. You forget though and every pregnancy is different!

Hello to vintagenancySmile Those sound like some good symptoms!

OO - can I join in too?!

I'm on CD 16 too - also using CBFM for the first time which has said I have been high fertility but not peak since day 7 - on day 16 now and wondering if I'm going to peak at all! Read the instructions and it said sometimes you can be high for a long time - this means I might have done a test wrong (although don't think even I could manage that) or that I am likely to have an unusually long cycle (i'm not exactly regular so it could be that.

I have been really sleepy and today had a headache that just won't go away so just off to bed now - sure it's way too early - besides I can't be PG if I haven't even peaked yet can I? Oh well here's hoping that the 25% chance is enough and it works first cycle

  • good luck everybody. according to the statistics now there are 6 of us on this thread 1.5 of us should get pregnant this time!

I'm thinking I may test next Monday which will be day 21....waste of money I know! Part of me thinks I should wait til period is due but it would seem disappointing if period came and I hadn't had a chance to test, if that makes any sense whatsoever!
