Is HPT in the evening accurate?

have been shamefully symptom spotting, feeling sick, weeing all the time, off certain foods, tired and emotional. I have very irregular periods and am currently on day 31. Did a hpt which was negative this evening. I thought I could see a faint line for a while put not sure if that was just wishful thinking.
So is it worth retesting in the morning or should I just get a grip!

I'm in same boat. Did test in evening yesterday and today both negative. I'm going to try to wait till Sunday and do one with FMU if no AF by then
