Hello ladies. I only joined mumsnet a few days ago, although I have made comments in other threads, this is my first.

I am after some advice. I have been TTC no.2 since Jan of this year. We were lucky to conceive DD after just 6 months, prior to that I had been on the pill for about 10 yrs. After having DD I went back on the pill and came off in Jan when we agreed to try for another one. When I came off the pill the first time I was regular as clockwork, but this time I have been irregular. I no longer seem to know when AF is going to make an appearence. I worked it out that in the last 9 months my cycle has ranged from 24 days to 32 days, ok, not a huge difference, but there does not seem to be any pattern to it. Also, some months AF is light, others can be really heavy.
Taking my age in consideration, im only 30, could I be going through early menapause? Is it worth talking to my doctor about it? I have never had a problem with PMT, but just lately I have become such a moody cow!!

Any advice greatly received.

I wouldn't have thought so. At your age you could go see the doctor and get some tests done in Jan after a year of trying. But cycles do vary, and 24 days is an OK cycle length and similarly 32 is OK too. Mine vary in heaviness too.

Your hormones do change in your 30's too, I think.

I'm not dismissing your concerns, I just wouldn't worry yet. Enjoy Christmas, then if you haven't had a BFP make a doctors appointment. But I hope you have a nice reason not to have a glass of wine on Christmas day!

Thanks Claire. AF has just made an appearence again, but there is always next month. But if it does happen next month, then no.2 will be due the same month as DDs birthday!! perhaps i should keep my legs closed untill after xmas lol
