Hey there,

I'm TTC and living in Germany and would love to share experiences! This is an amazing medical system but is very different to what I'm used to and the German attitude to TTC seems to be vverrryyy relaxed so I feel like a crazy, obsessed person and would love some people to share the craziness with!?! ;p

I'm nearly 36 and TTC #1, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in February and have been TTC for 9 months ever since (yep, due date just been!). I am about to start fertility tests and poss first steps in fertility treatment. I have 6 friends here who have all had babies in the last year(so lots of lovely baby cuddles!)but 4 were surprises and 2 were planned but got pregnant straight away. So I don't know any one who has been trying for a while or been down the road of assisted conception....

Please join me on this crazy, frustrating, exciting journey that we're on and a giggle/rant about the quirky German way of things here!! :)

Hello. Gosh - that takes me back... We went through all of that, plus many many rounds of fertility treatment in Munich. Finally had our daughter in July 2007 and are back trying again now. Whereabouts are you? I always felt the German system was pretty good - there always seemed to be hope, even when to my mind, I may as well have given up. Guess it depends on your insurance as to how keen they'll be to help though...

I have to agree I had fertility treatment in Munich the Kinderwunsch Centre Pasing it was amazing pregnant first cycle! unfortunately I miscarried (I had to have a D&C - within 15 hours of finding out I had a D&C and was on my home, the ladies in the hospital looked after me beautifully herbal tea and lovely warm towels)

The doctors are fab very caring, and made the whole fertility treatment a breeze no stress I was carefree and relaxed as I trusted them so much, I would have blood taken at 10am by 1:30pm they would have called me back with the results. We have to travel an hour and a half each way to the clinic but it is worth the travel time.

We are due to go back in April/May time to start treatment again (as we are traveling with my husbands job) and I can honestly say we are so looking forward to going back obviously so we can have a baby but also because we love all the staff - I think we caused much amusement as the English couple Grin

Good luck would love to hear your stories!!
