Anyone out there who is TTC with a high BMI. Mine is 34 and I am starting to think it is affecting ovulation as my cycles are getting longer.I always used to have a 29 - 30 day cycle last month was 36 and this month is going the same way currently on day 34 BFN today. I know i do ovulate as i had an early miscarriage in April first month of trying. I have put a stone on since then and just feel that is why I havn't conceived since. Anyone trying to lose weight and TTC with some tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Didn't want your post to go un-noticed!
I am TTC but am not overweight and am quite fit and healthy really. The best thing for you to do is concentrate on eating healthily, lots of fruit and veg, cut down on the rubbishy food and try to up your exercise.

I would never recommend 'dieting' as such as the best thing to do is have all the little treats you want but in moderation. By starting to change your bad eating habits now it will be less of a shock than doing an 'extreme' diet type thing and you will find you lose weight quite naturally.

I used to battle with my weight really badly, for years and was forever going back and forth to slimming clubs and spent a fortune, then decided I just wanted to be healthy, get my five a day and over the last year or so my weight has has become something I don't actually have to worry about.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, and I cant comment on cycles getting longer because I don't really understand mine which are doing the same at the moment but I hope you get a baby soon xx
