TTC dc2 too soon?

It took 18 months fall pregnant with DS1, now 5mo, due to PCOS.
I don't want big age gaps between children and am worried that there will be if we don't 'get on with it'.
I have refused to take pill or other hormone contraception as it really mucked my cycles up so have told DH conception is his responisbility. He has said it is too soon but has done nothing about contraception.
Anyone been in a similar situation? Words of wisdom?

I have 17 months betweemy older dc's meaning that I concieved ds when dd was 8 months old. It was hard going in the first year or so but now they are so close and play so well together that it was really worthwhile. Go for it!

Thank you. I know it's a bit soon but from past experience I don't think it will happen quickly, I haven't even started ovulating properly since Ds.

hi, there's 17months between our 2 aswell. i remember the first 6months especially being the hardest, and felt stuck in the house alone for quite a while-lots of tears! but now eldest is 4 1/2 and youngest almost 3, they get on really well together, play with the same toys, read the same books-which prob makes things easier as you can all play together as a family....cant have been all bad as we're waiting to ttc #3!
