has anyone had very light brown spotting then got a BFP????

I normally have 26-29 cycle and today is CD28. Was starting to get my hopes up as only had slight cramps (which is unusual) and boobs are still sore.

I'm at work, obsessively googling and rushing to the loo every 5 minutes. Theres just a bit, nothing when I wipe, but its unusual as I always get red/pink spotting for a day then full heavy flow.

I'm just being ridiculous aren't I? Someone tell me to get a grip and start counting down the days again.

Over 20 months of TTC #1 and this is the first time I've even had the opportunity to think I am in with a chance....

Good luck to anyone testing soon Smile

It is possible to have spotting, but still be pregnant. It's just a horrible waiting game really. I would get impatient and poas give it a couple of days and test if AF has not come as normal.

Sorry I can't be of more help :)

Thanks baby2b.

I never usually get my hopes up and have never had to POAS yet as AF either turns up a day early, or I have the red spotting and cramps.

This time is just 'different' which is why I'm hopeful. My body is playing cruel tricks on me I bet!

I've now got nervous butterflies so cant tell if I have cramps or not aaargh

arrrghhh no cramps now, but TMI tiny pink spotting when I wipe. Boobs are huge and still sore. I know I'm grasping at a tiny glimmer of hope but I have to. I'm rubbish at TTC, its official.

I made the mistake of getting my hopes up last week. Had brown spotting and cramps a full 7 days before AF due (which I've never had in 27 months TTC no 1). This went away last Thurs, then got a few hours of cramps (no discharge) on Sat.

It was only the second time in more than two years that I caved in and took a (First Response) test - on Sunday evening. It was BFN - then of course AF arrived on Monday morning.

We start IVF later this month so I think it was wishful thinking. I really hope yours isn't.

Just as I thought - AF arrived full flow this morning after I had just done a FR test. Evil.

I'm sorry about your BFN Coconut and send good luck wishes for your IVF.

I have my first appt to see fertility consultant in 2 weeks and have no idea what they will recommend?

Bum - sorry to hear that. It always seems the way - when you cave in, AF arrives just like that! Pure malice I say!

We had two hours at the clinic today to go through our treatment plan. I've forgotten already what I'm supposed to do - hope hubbie was listening!

Have you had fertility testing already or is this just you starting to investigate?

I've had Day 21 test which my Gp says shows I am ovulating. I've used the CBFM for 6 months and that also 'peaked' every month. My DH has a child from his previous marriage so I assume all is ok with him, although he hasnt had a sperm analysis done yet?

I had a HSG done 10 years ago with a previous partner which also came up clear, no problems but I realise things can change in 10 years.

This will be first appt, they have my previous notes so I dont know what to expect.

Also, I don't think we will be eligible for IVF on the NHS as DH has a child.

My local PCT does not provide any fertility treatment so I chose a hospital nearest that does.

I'm scared. I just have to think what the outcome could be.

Are you starting your IVF this month? Smile

We are not eligible for NHS IVF as by the time we will have been trying for 3 years I'll be past their sell-by date (40). I never thought I'd be in this position, after watching my sister go through 7 failed IVF attempts I had a really negative attitude towards it (plus I hate the idea of mucking around with hormones and all the potential risk factors) but we don't seem to be able to get preggers on our own despite being in the best of health and no obvious fertility issues. I guess with my age (now 39) we don't have many options left. I start getting drugged up in a couple of weeks...

What they will say will depend on your age but they will probably recommend more and recent testing (day 3 testing, thyroid, liver function etc). How come you had a HSG 10 years ago? I had the most awful one last year, nearly passed out on the slab!
