I was in the same boat you are. Had my scan - didn't show up. Had to have an x-ray and it was found but not in the right place - said it had gone into my pelvis - whatever that means. I have an appt with consultant gynie the first week in September.

I haven't had any pain and no periods since having it fitted back in May. So just waiting to see what will be done. No one seems to be to worried about me.

Wish I could help more.

gosh that doesnt sound good, suprised u have no pain and that your period situation has stayed the same! good luck with your appt in sept, not long now (tho im sure it feels like longer).
when i started this thread i accidentaly hit the button twice, so there is another exactly the same with a few other peoples experience on, if u can find it that may b of some interest 2u, and you may find others who can offer u advice too

Mine disappeared but was still in the right place when I was scanned, threads seem to have been hoovered into my womb thoughHmm. I suspect you would most likely notice it coming out.

No, mine is still in. SomewhereGrin

At the scan they said it was in the right place so am leaving it be. Must be ok because I'm not pregnant - had it nearly 18m now and got pregnant with the DCs first time/both times.

TBH I try not to think about how they will get it out when the time comes. Have heard whispers of a gadget, ?brush? to get it out

Probably not having any more children so it won't be due out until spring 2014 unless we change our minds.
