We are on month 3 of ttc dc2.
Af is due tomorrow. So today is cd34 of my usual 35 day cycle.

I have no symptoms except feeling tubby.

This is may be because I ate too much naughty stuff on holiday last week. However I didn't think I'd continue to put weight on after I got home! Shorts that fitted but were snug on holiday are now unwearable! I wore them last week for a whole day but couldn't fasten them and breathe today!

So... Should I test?

I would say def not, having done just that the last couple of months and consequently being v disappointed.

Received opinion seems to be that it's better to wait till AF is actually late, ideally 5 days late (!) though obviously that's pretty tough to hang on for.

Either you'll get a BFN and be gutted, have wasted a test and then just be depressed waiting for AF to show up, OR you'll get a TW/BFP, which will still be v early and might not stick, in which case you could well be left with the heartbreak of a CP.

The longer you wait the better, really. Sorry, that's probably not what you want to hear...!

only if you use the early response test. otherwise there's no point

Not sure feeling tubby is a symptom of very early pregnancy!

I know I'm going to get my hopes up for nothing.

The feeling tubby thing is very vague as symptoms go. I've got none of the sick feeling I had early on with ds. However I did expand quite early on last time- I was in maternity trousers at about 9 weeks!

i agree mrsflux, before i found out i seemed to feel very wobbly and fat, think it was water retention or something, its happend both times though now, but it goes after a while

leave it if you can - I'm desperate to test but think I'm not due for a few more days (irregular periods), will undoubtedly get a BFN regardless of if I am or not seeing as I didn't get BFP with DS til 7 weeks!

we're on month 2 for DC2...how come it hasn't happened IMMEDIATELY like DS?!

girl - I know! Comparig it to last time is so frustrating! Ds was conceived on month 3. Which doesn't help with my getting my hopes up.
I also had irregular periods before ds (try anything up to 60days!) they've been ok since but aware that the more i stress about getting pg the more likely af will be late.
Not had anything more than 35 days for a long time tho...

I think wait. I hate getting negatives and actually find I'd rather be told by AF if I'm not preggers. I've been TTC for 11 months with cycles that fluctuate from 30 - 38 days so have learned from experience!
