If you were 15 days late (maybe more, as cycle is slightly irregular, could be 20 days late)...but every pregnancy test you took in the last 20 days was negative, what would you think?

  1. That you were pregnant but didn't have enough hormone to show on the test (am driving myslef crazy thinking this)

or 2.
you were a bit stressed out this month because you have so much on your plate at the moment and it has made you skip a period - if it was this, would I have ovulated? Will I have to have a period before I ovulate again, or could it happen without one?

Or could there be some other reason?

Didn't want you to go unanswered..

My gut instinct would be that you didn't ovulate this month and you might find you have your next period in a couple of weeks. I don't believe you have to have a period in order to ovulate so you could ovulate yet..
That said, it has happened before that some people don't test positive till very late/never..

That said, i'd also be driving myself mad thinking about am I aren't I and would question the following:

  1. Are you having any symptoms of pregnancy?
  2. What tests have you done, cheapies or not so...?
  3. The stress you are talking about, is it significant an amount? Have you been ill? Eating properly? etc

On an aside, are you charting or aware of your cervical mucous for signs of fertility? I'm of course assuming you are ttc...?

If you are worried tho, I would get an appointment with your GP, is sure to bring on a period or morning sickness instantly! Just to make you look silly! LOL

Thanks Cazzr

I did think I might have been pregnant a couple of weeks ago (ie before I was due), was feeling v v nauseous. Still occasionally feeling sick but no other symptoms.

Have done 2 sainsburys tests, 2 tesco, 2 clear blue at about 3 day intervals.

Stress is linked to moving abroad next month, lots of stuff to sort out, plus working FT... not been ill though and eating fine.

Not charting, vaguely aware of cervical mucous, although DH doesn't like me to get too hung up on it, so try to "ignore" it. Thought I had ovulated but also thought we had probably missed best window for TTC - could of course be wrong on both counts.

Prob a good idea to get a GP appointment though

I invested in the book 'Taking Care of your Fertility' and I get the impression the mucous is the most reliable sign of when you are ovulating/fetile. Problem is successfully interpretting the right type of mucous! LOL

I'd say keep an eye on the mucous and try to relax, it'll sort out one way or the other soon enough.

Good luck on the GP appt.
