Tip of the day

Never ask a child IF they need the loo... moodlum

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

I'd love to win a Nintendo DS console, but

yes! yes! <leaps with glee>
reallyreally - did you see what you'd won? Lucky you!!
There you go then. It doesn't have to be a good review. The winner is random, not based on merit (more's the pity otherwise I'd win for sure)
We havn't gopt any games consoles in our house sad, i have played the wii once so could review wii sports.
It doesn't have to be a DS game you review. There are other types of computer/console games.
yes this peed me off a bit to, how can you review a game if you don't have a DS, and if you already have a DS why would you be entering the comp (unless your greedy) angry

of course, more times you enter, the more chance you have of winning

can you add more than one review and be entered more than once?

I know it seems like a pain, but just think "I might win if I enter!" wink
PMSL I put the game in as the model.
I complained about the same thing with a camping review thing.

I know you need more reviews of x category, but it sucks

<thankful for once of geek husband meaning I can enter>

Looks like most people put the game in as the model, it wont matter anyway grin

<goes off to check emails and talk to dh>

On the review page, what does "model" mean? Is it where you put whether it's PS2/Xbox/Wii etc?

I reviewed Viva Pinata and submitted it only to realise there wasn't a space for the name of the game!

ReallyReally

You do realise you've won a prize....check your emails and winners corner

Unfortunately it does need to be a games review as that's where i will draw the winners from.

Perhaps you could ask a friend if they have a console/game you could review?

Or try an online game that can also be bought in shops?

I came on here to start a thread saying just that

I reviewed a board game instead. If that doesn't count I will sue you for, er, technological discrimination

<rings solicitor threateningly>

don't mess with us oppressed minorities. Just send me the prize and have done.
Avtually I can review Singstar though I have only played it when drunk. <goes off to babble about the joys of singstar when drunk>
(as an aside, the "game review" doesn't seem to have a space for the name of the game.)
I thought exactly the same!
I agree with the OP.

Not having one, or any other gaming gear, I can't enter the competition, because I've no game to review. sad

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
