House swaps

Would anybody like to visit Guernsey in 2015?

Our house has four double bedrooms (two with king/double beds, two with twin beds) so can sleep 8 very easily, and we have no problem with 'extra' people in sleeping bags. Might be good for two families holidaying together? Safe, enclosed back garden, parking for 2 cars, smoke-free home. There's a park with a playground, football pitch, trim trail and great views over the neighbouring islands 200 metres up the road, shops/restaurants a 5 minute walk away, bus stop 1 min walk away, 5-10 min drive to town/harbour and various beautiful beaches. Main drawback is that there's currently only one bathroom. We do a lot of camping in the other Channel Islands and are looking to travel in Europe this year, so can be very flexible as to timing.

We have a 3/4 bed house in north London but not sure if that is Europe enough for you? We are hoping to go away at Easter...

Oops, I haven't been maintaining this thread very well! We're already away at Easter unfortunately empty, sorry for the late response. Sahrg, We're hoping to offset the cost of our trips a bit by letting the house at a reasonable rate, although we're open to house swapping. I'm just a bit scared because most house swappers seem to have vast kitchens, multiple bathrooms and neutral, minimal decor. My house is, um, quirky, to use a word I loathe.

Hi,
We are planning on visiting my parents this summer in Guernsey and have now outgrown staying with them so would be very interested to find out more about what you plan to do with your house in the summer. I am originally from Guernsey but now living in the UK and was horrified to see how expensive self catering accommodation is on the island.
Thanks
Gill

Hello, we too have family in Guernsey and might be interested in visiting over the summer; we have previously stayed self-catering but they are v pricey and a little shabby! Our kids love the island so we might try and scrape together ferry fare and a small rental amount, or could discuss a swap if you fancy a break in rural West Berkshire / Wiltshire / Hampshire borders!

Hi I am coming to Guernsey in Sept/October to support a birth and would love to house swap. I have a 3 bedroom farm cottage in Hampshire, England. My house is cluttered and lived in but not dirty. We have chickens, a friendly Labrador, 2 cats and a kitten. Interested? Kathryn x
