dd is 2.5 and asked for chocolate (!), Mr Men books (got) and dress up toys (sort of got)....og and she said she had been a good girl! (ha!)
However she continually asks for things as and when she sees them on tv - I just think, TOUGH LUCK! (All our shopping is done and we have generally bought her and her brother what we think they would like, not what the ask for - is that wrong?)
Thanks Iheartdusty, I think it is more likely to be a slinky, I didn't know they did coloured ones. we do spend a bit of time in pondshops, so maybe you are onto something
"Dear Santa, I would like a Poppy pop-up tent for Christmas please. And a tractor. And I will leave you a snack and a carrot for your reindeer. I have been a good girl. Love hesterette" [just 3].
She sent it a few weeks ago (we are not managing Christmas build-up very well in this house . This morning Santa wrote back to her! I had no idea the Post Office actually replied to the FC letters. dd was thrilled.
Not a list of presents, but more instructions for Christmas from DD1 (5)
<DD1>'s Chrismiss List! Putt up the tree. Putt up the deecrayshons. Go to sleep qickly. Be good. You are good. Be nisse. You are nisse. (nice) Santa will come.

dd 3.5 swimming dog - has been telling everyone for months that santa was bringing this so we had to get it! walking horse for her baby. swing thing for her baby.
asked if there is anything else she replied 'no mummy that's enough'
she was concerned that santa won't get it all on his sledge
DD1 (11) wants Pastels and pastel paper Handbag Perfume from Body Shop A Company of Swans by Eva Ibbotson Fineliner pens She does NOT want The Georgia Nicholson books that I have already bought for her.
DD2 (8) wants Sketch book Imagine teacher Electric toothbrush
DD3 (6) wants SuperMario for her DS Remote control car Swimming puppy (she will NOT be getting this)
dd1 (8) asked for (with lots of spelling mistakes but I'll leave them out):
Some stationery (paper clips and sellotape) A little Christmas tree. Some wood without nails in to make gravestones. A chocolate orange. And some other presents please.
Dear Father Christmas I hav been a good boy Can I have 3 prazans (presents)
1. (he's drawn a picture of some glasses with wobbly eyeballs so father christmas knows what to look for)
2. 3 ds games
3. tv on my wotrob (wardrobe) (he's drawn a picture of his loft bed with the wardrobe next to it - tv on top and him in bed playing the play station!!!)
I really don't want him to have a tv in his room yet but I've got the other things!! This is the edited list. The one he started in October had to be cut wuite a bit because Father Christmas wouldn't have had room for anyone else's presents!!
For the pets that die, and (more regulary) for the rodent and bird corpses our two kittens are bringing in daily. Dd1 caresses them and tenderly buries them, with gravestones (using gold and silver paint).
dolly baby knows cinderella laptop polly pocket mega mall
thank you xxx
She also said "My name is xxx and I also like to be called Angelina sometimes. I am 3 and eleven twelfths. I will leave carrots, raisin pie, milk and hot chocolate. I have tried hard to be good.
And a picture of an alien family on the back for some reason.
DD (4.4) wrote her letter at school today, and it said 'Dear Father Christmas, I would really like some decorations pleae' The whole lounge, porch and her bedroom are covered!!
These lists are lovely - our house is filled with list made and disgarded but basically DS (6 next week) keeps insisting he wants a laptop. Even FC when we visited him agreed they were a good thing
I'd rather he wait a while longer for his own PC - hopefully he'll be happy with his DS - also on his list luckily!
DS (10) doesn't know what he wants yet. But all this week he has got up first in the morning and made everyone a slice of toast and organised DD1's lunchbox. May have something to do with the pep talk I gave about how presents are decided on according to how good everyone is!
DD1 (4) wants a Pucci Pup (puppy in a bag from Tesco) and a pair of dressing up shoes. Think we may manage this.
DD2 (2) doesn't really know its Christmas and would probably be happiest with a cardboard box and the santa ornament we have sitting on the fireplace (£1 from the market)
ds1 2.7 would like a red scooter and Spencer from the Thomas Lego train set. He's been asking for a scooter since the start of the year so I hope it won't be a big anti-climax when he finally opens one on xmas morning
A sam doll A handbag A high school musical scooter )this after begging for the barbie one and me buying it a dolls house a puppy "oh look at that pig flying above
MsPontipine My dd asked for a laptop, I told her she had to save up for half of it herself with birthday and xmas money and i would save the other half. Cant afford it for Christmas.
Red and white paper A tractor Cake White horses A castle A battle More cake
DD (5) Rollerskates A deck chair (bitunseasonal, but hey) A hooded towel A princess book Cinderella Aquadraw
Ds1 (7) (who tells Father C he has TRIED to be good and heped his friend with his homework when he had a broken hand) Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars Flying UFO Gogos Martian Maker (Gawd knows what this is?) Nintendo (fat chance) A mini golf course in the garden.
A personalised riding jacket treats for the horse a brush for the horse tartan jeans from Primark and anything else you would like to bring me I have tried to be good and keep my room tidy but some days I just can't!
The cats also managed to write a letter asking for a catnip mouse each - they all put their paw prints on it
Wilbur - could it be Martian Matter by Hasbro? You can get it from Amazon. It seems you can make all sorts of different aliens with it.
DD (5) did not write but got hold of an Argos catalogue and did a stocking collage job which includes: A variety of babies with accessories. Told her that FC could only deliver one per child and did get her one from her selection.
Playdoh ice cream factory, made me write on the stoking "I really, really, really would like this one, please". She has asked daily if FC will remember this one. He had some trouble finding stock but one of his helpers came to the rescue
Barbie caravan playset - she might get Barbie DVD instead! Barbie with Cat that wees! - have told her FC thinks it is a rubbish toy!
DS is only 2 1/2 when asked just smiled and said he wanted "kismasss". His sister made him a stocking with lost of Thomas, Bob the builder & Spider man stuff
thank you MiaW and ledodgy, love that first one, and so would dd though 1000 pieces might be too much? well it would be a good family effort... off to look at the others, I knew if I asked mn'ers they might have some ideas!
I have to admit I try to avoid the subject of letters to Santa - it just sets them up for disappointment on the day!! Last year they wrote them at school and DS1 asked Santa to go to Argos cos they have the best toys
ds1 (5.5 yrs) list asks for, chocolate coins, something scooby doo ish (not fussed for what but you get the theme!) and 20 baby brothers (was 100 initially!)
he then wrote his baby brothers and asked for clothes, a book and any baby toy
Lowfat, dd has a gorgeous soft fairy she sleeps with(though currently lost, hopefully at nanna's!), from the local toyshop. Can get for you if you like and post a pic? They are £5 - sure dd won't mind getting another one if you don't like.
DS2 age6 wrote 'Have a lovely time sending presents to your frends, love from [DS2]' followed by about 50 kisses 'I would lighck some presents pleese too father christmas and another love from [DS2]. pleese'
DS2 (7) had a slightly more useful list of mostly Star Wars related products and 'a Roman board game a bit like Risk' He wrote at the end 'PS I hope I have been a good boy. If I haven't Sorry! And please give me a letter back in your language and a translation writin by you'
6y DD wrote hers yesterday and it is ready to be posted tomorrow, as follows inc spelling and reversed b/d:

I have absolutely no idea what she's on about except for the Sylvanian Hotel and the Rose Petal Cottage, which are way over budget for us. We have a Wii that the dc got last Xmas - is there a good game for a 5 & 8 yr old with singing, playing instruments, dancing, etc without having to buy "extras"?
big box little nails and 1 big nail Hammer Toolbox with lots of tools - pliers, spanners and big red screwdriver (unfortunately he has stated that they need to be real not toy ones ) Flag Surprise in tool box and big box wood for hammering painting stuff eggs in egg box to make 'looking at cake' (i.e. one to his own recipe that is inedible) spare door adn window for his bedroom Glue and envelopes Toy Buzzy bee a ds lite films clock shiny show machine glue in a pot and paintbrush box of magic a completely black outfit including underwear/gloves/hat a rabbit (real) a cocketeil (sp? - also to be real)
We are trying to convince him that FC may not bring him exactly what he wants but he is convinced he will get it.
However he wasn't too disapointed when he didn't get the 2 'real shiny metal' axes he specified for his birthday so we may get away with it <sigh>
DD is only just two so she hasn't written a letter, but she has said very earnestly a couple of times that Father Christmas is going to bring a 'tick tock for my wrist'.
So there will be a watch at the top of her stocking.
My DD's: Magic stone Csckles (wtf?) Wishing Box Spell Book Magic Kitten Books Leapfrog game Lucky Cat Charm (any ideas?) Cuddly Kitten (possible 'can do' so long as not REAL ) Phone (No way Jose) IM Me DS (maybe) Fairy Dust (let me see...) Ooh! Thanks iheartdusty - there is a Peacocks in the next town from me - will get some. She will be so impresses (not arf as impressed as I will be with self though - thabks to you of course!)
