HELP!! Nintendo DS lite Narnia game

ok..so how do I change the characters from the default setting of Lucy..?? Have tried pressing a button on the top of of the DS lite (shoulder button??) but nothing happens... what am I doing wrong???

DD got this for christmas, but she hasn't played it yet.

another Narnia-er here butthe same..not got to the wardrobe as yet. Still on nintendogs..

L and R buttons on top i think.Dont know how far on you are but some bits only have one character, just like the film, it starts with lucy then with edmund etc

oh I needaholiday..perhaps this is it...we're not that far into it..aslan keeps changing into an icicle and Lucy gets so cold, eventually dying(???..gulp...) or whatever that we go back to an initial point. At what stage do the others enters then? Perhaps then we'd be able to switch by the L and R shoulder buttons (which I've now found)
