My 8 yr old dd was diagnosed at the age of 6 with precocious puberty and put on monthly injections of Triptorelin. Along with physical symptoms one of the reasons we had investigated pp was because of her teenage like mood swings. Although the triptorelin has kept the physical symptoms at bay,the mood swings have continued causing problems at home and school. We have been seeing a psycholgist at (CAMHS) and now the school want her investigated for being on the autistic spectrum or having S.C.D (Social communication Disorder).Whilst her anger outbursts could be a symptom of that, she otherwise presents as a very intelligent, articulate and loving child and I cant help thinking that it appears to be more of a hormonal thing. I was wondering if anyone else whose child may be on triptorelin or who is undergoing treatment for precocious puberty still experiences mood swings or anger outbursts from their child???
