Bottle at bedtime for 18 month old - should I continue with this?

My DD is 18 months old and for the last couple of weeks has been teething really badly so hasn't felt like eating or drinking much and as a result hasn't had her bottle at bedtime. Her teeth are a bit better today, but still haven't come through, sadly!

Anyway, it dawned on me that perhaps she shouldn't still be having a bottle at bedtime any more and we should take this opportunity to stop it?

The problem is, she is rubbish at drinking water or any drink throughout the day, so I was always consoled by the fact that she had at least 8oz of milk at night. Any thoughts on how to make her drink more?

If she enjoys the bedtime bottle, then my advice would be to leave it.

My son is nearly 2 and he still has a bottle at night.

He's getting a million times better at drinking juice during the day (his personal pref. is apple juice) but for now, I let him have his bottle.

i think there's too much pressure on binning the bottle- i know most kds once they 'stop; the bottle, they totally reject milk altogether. maybe you should just leave it. you know best- and if l.o is fussy drinker anyway...
