Did your toddler get a fever after MMR?

DD had her jab two days ago and my doctor said it was likely she will get a high fever, up tp 39.5 4 to 10 days after.
DP is leaving for work for a week tomorrow and I'll be alone with dcs.
So, I just wanted to know how likely is that she'll get it, and more importantly, whether the fever is easily managed with paracetamol?
And how long did it last?
Just trying to prepare myself mentally.

My ds1 had no reaction. Ds2 had tummy upset and couldn't keep food down for about 3 days, 10 days after the jab, which a GP later said was probably the MMR.

DD1 got a slight rash about 10 days after (so late that I didn't even link the two until GP did !), and DD2 was absolutely fine, no problems at all.
In my experience as a healthcare professional, most of the children I see with high temps, are NOT due to their MMR, they are usually different causes, not vaccinations.
Hope this puts your mind at ease slightly. Even if she did get a temp, it is normally reduced with paracetamol and/or nurofen.

Using paracetamol can reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.

My son didn't react to any of the injections at all ... Calpol was on standby in case of fevers but didn't get used.
