My poor ds Last weekend he woke suddenly in the night and spent the next 2 days vomitting everything he ate and drank. And for the last few days he has had diarrohea. He seems fine in himself though, no temperature and not acting 'poorly', if anyhting he is just a bit grumpy. He is 20 months old. What shall I do? I'm a bit worried that a bug has lasted this lng, and also that neither dd or I have caught it, so maybe it is something else?

I wouldnt worry too much-sounds like a bug to me. The most important thing is to keep up the clear fluids-avoid milk/dairy/sugary stuff as these can irritate an already irritated bowel. Water or diorylite is best. The main things with diarrhoea are dehydration and little ones can get dry quickly but as long as he is not floppy/lethargic dont worry-the fluid is more important than the food because he will catch up nutritionally when he feels better.
The fact you and your DD havent caught it is down to bloody good handwashing probably

Oddgirl, he is still breastfed. Should I discourage it while he is ill?

No carry on breastfeeding-should be fine with that. If diarrhoea persists for couple more days go and see your GP.If he is otherwise ok dont worry too much it can take time for these bugs to work their way out
