This may be a really silly question, but this morning when I changed ds's nappy his tesicles were not where they usually are, instead of being in the sac (?) they were above that in his body

I've never noticed if this has happened before, I've tried google but all it brings up are links about undescended testicles which is not relevent as his have descended

Just wanted to check really if this was normal lol I don't think I've ever used the word testicle so many times in one post

yes ds's used to do this when he was cold

if you are ever worried, pop him in a warm bath and they will normally come back down!

testicles are very moveable!! My ds1 boys bits were in the scrotum BUT they were on the move alot which meant he had to have them pinned down at the age of nearly 3yrs. Ds2 just never had any so he also had the op at age of 18mths.

Just keep an eye on them and they will be checked at the 6wk and 9mths check anyway

When they are up in his body do they pop down again if you push them gently?

I ask because my son used to do this and he had a hernia. Was fixed when he was 12 weeks old. It's probably not that it's probably just them ascending/ descending due to temp but I would go and see your GP and get him checked just in case it is this. My GP referred Us after I mentioned it at 8 week check just in case, turns out she was right.

very mobile testicles can cause an inguinal hernia. Normally once the testicles have moved down from the stomach and into the scrotum the canal will close, however those who have testicles "on the move" are likely to still have this canal open

they might not have properly descended. Get them checked as it can affect fertility if the stay in the body as the sperm get too warm
