Help! Calling all Nut Allergy sufferers or mums of - I have a query for you

I have to make some food for a childrens party tomorrow and know there are a couple of nut allergy sufferers. I grabbed a packet of white rolls on my way home and was about to make some rolls but can see that it says on the packet that they are made in a factory which uses sesame seeds. There aren't any nut ingredients in the rolls themselves but now I'm worried.

I know a lot of packets say this now but I don't want to risk it. Do you not use products that have this warning on them ?

Thanks !!

It depends on the child and the allergy.. I avoid sesame because ds has a peanut allergy and they are both legumes but he is fine with products that are made in the same factory.. I think you better check with the parents.

I'd err on the side of caution because if anything did happen you'd feel pretty rotten about it.

I agree and I also just thought that if that was my child and someone just thought they'd risk it however small the risk I'd be mortified. It's only a packet of rolls after all which we can easily use at home and we have plenty of bread knocking about in the freezer.....

well I found some other rolls in the freezer which didn't have that warning and made them but when i got there apparently the children do bring their own food - ah well better safe than sorry !
