Chin rash in Four year old

DS who is 4 and a couple of his friends in his class all have a chin rash which really looks like the kind of dribbling rash babies get.

Any ideas what it could be?

Has he started wearing a woolen scarf?

My ds still gets this when he forgets and chews his sleeves (revolting habit!)

are they leaning on tables that have been wiped with chemicals previously

are they dribbling or spitting and its getting cold outside rashing it up

No scarves. Don't know about chemicals on tables but it seems a bit of an odd place to get the rash if it was. My first thought was perhaps he's had a reaction to some Halloween sweets as he ate a fair few I wouldn't normally let him have but when I saw other children with it at the same time I discounted that. They're all making it worse by licking it!

i see loads of children with there heads on desks that why i mentioned the tables what about soaps are they washing hands and face with any new soaps etc could it be impitigo?

If it is impetigo you'll soon know because it'll be through the class like wildfire. It sounds like sucked polo shirt collars to me. My ds chewed his top button (as well as his sleeve) and got a really sore face when the weather turned chilly.

I don't think it's impetigo. I think Seeker's suggestion is more likely though strange that 2 of his friends should be similarly afflicted at the same time.

It's spread to both side if his chin and looks more like chapped than a spotty rash.
