Another Chicken pox question!

Help!!!

I have a suprise party arranged for mil next saturday and am worried that dd1 has the pox.

On Tuesday she had one spot that came up in the evening and she scratched until it bled. Nothing until yesterday when she then came up with about 30 more.
They are pink and apart from the first one have not itched and no blisters. They look more like insect bites.

Does it sound like chicken pox. Will she be better by next weekend and what about dd2?

Thanks

Can you put a pic of the spots on your profile? CP are definitely blisters though.

TBH, in light of the celebration coming up, I think I'd have gone to the docs for a quick dx straight away...

Thanks Solo, actually after giving the dcs a bath I noticed that a couple of the spots are looking far more like blisters and dd2 has what looks like the start of a spot on her arm.

Do you think that they will both be past the infectious period by next weekend?(hopefull emoticon)

Hi, I am new here. DD is having chicken pox at the moment. I've never had it, what are the chances that I won't get it? Also, we are off on holiday on the 12th June, will it be safe to take her along? Also, anyone know how long it will be before the scars start healing. Its her first trip to see the great grandparents and I really want everything to be perfect. Thanks!
