a chipped milk tooth

My daughter has asked me to find out whether her 3 yr old's chipped tooth can safely be left till they get to Britain in June?
Its a top front tooth chipped on the inside in a fall in January. Dentist next day-said 'Nothing to be done' It was sensitive. then better but got periodically very painful-
3 days ago he fell again causing swelling and a white spot; then yesterday it became an abcess. So he's been given a course of anti-biotics.
The dentist now says he'll have to have 3 sittings with local anaesthetics to deaden the milk tooth. My daughter thinks this is a bit much and wants to be sure she's getting best advice- Would it be safe to rely on the anti-biotics for time being and get treatment in Britain in June? or is it a risk to his health and to the underlying permanent tooth to leave it that long?
( as a family we are always extra careful about blood poisoning in the mouth 'cos my father died of it years ago- and yet my daughter tries to use Homeopathic remedies when possible)
Can anyone out there give advice on this question? Thankyou.

TBH I would get it dealt with asap. The chipped tooth in itself wouldn't concern me too much (DS1 has a chipped tooth and the dentist said it really doesn't matteras its not affecting the core of the tooth). However, the infection (abscess) does need to be dealt with.

Can you have a chat with your own dentist and get a second opinion of the recommended treatment?
