DS2 had bad chicken pox the week before xmas. It's all gone now and there are only a couple of dry scabs left on his scalp, all the others have fallen off. Anyway, the past two days his temp has been up and down and he has been very drowsy - the last two days have been spent with him mostly lying on our chests dropping off to sleep. he's also off his food. Today his temp was nearly normal but he was still very drowsy and has still not eaten anything. Should we be worried or is it part of the process of his body catching up past his chickenpox?

Probably just needs rest etc to get better...but I would still want to pass it by the doc else I would worry all weekend, me being me! Ring the out of hours doc or NHS direct for peace of mind?

it took ds a good few weeks after all the spots had scabbed before he was back to himself. He was tired, whining, just not really himself.

choufleur that sounds like DS2 - he's not whining in pain, just really wants to snuggle with us and not do much else really. Will see what he's like on Monday

i just let ds sleep a lot and we watched a lot of tv. sure he'll be fine but if you're worried go and see a doctor. i'm an annoying mum who rolls up at teh surgery quite a lot (a lot less now that DS can talk properly though)
