DD (9 months) has lots of yellow crusty bits around her eyelashes in the mornings and after her naps. It's enough to stick all her eyelashes into clumps. Should I take her to the GP or is there something I can treat it with at home/over the counter? TIA

Wipe her eyes from nose outwards with cotton wool and cool boiled water to clear them. If it doesn't clear up after a couple of days you might want to take her to the GP to make sure it's not conjunctivitis or a blocked duct. You can get drops over the counter for an infection, but tbh with a baby so young I think the pharmacist is going to recommend that you see the dr anyway.

Are you bf? Some breast milk wil work wonders if you are, if not I'd try with cooled boiled water for a couple of days and if it's no better nip and see your GP

Oh, forgot to mention, make sure you're using different pieces of cotton wool for each eye.

Seems obvious, but you'd be surprised.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
