Offer food after sickness?

Sorry this is a very basic question but we have never had sickness problems with ds, 20 mths. This PM he was sick 3 times (heard there is a sick bug at nursery with 2 other children affected today). Should i offer him food tonight? Don't want him to be sick at night in his sleep but don't want him to be hungry. Is it just a case of let him eat when he wants to? After he was sick the first time he had about 3 strands of spaghetti an hour or so later but was sick again straight afterwards.

stick to fluids no milk ice pops are great as disolve sl;ower and less likely to be heavy on stomach

if you do try food make it bland dry toast etc but personally i owuld hold off until tomorrow hope he feels better soon

i did hear if you give milk water it down my ds at this age though i was told not to give milk just fluids

I just give mine sips of water for about 12 hours and then give them a piece of toast when I think they are getting better. I know myself if you eat too soon you will probably just bring it back up again. If the toast goes down I then give a banana a bit later on. It is also best to avoid dairy produce until you are sure they are over it.

thank you - i will take back the cup of milk i gave him! Ice pops, toast, banana all great ideas for later on!

I wouldnt worry about him being hungry. Best leave any food till the morning, he will soon get his appetite back. kids with poorly tummies are a nightmare cos you just never know when they gonna be sick! Good luck, hope hes better soon.
